I really can't see a turning point...and if it does happen it would be totally unbelievable :shakehead:
i agree with you... not all stories run with the protagonist winning everytime...
i mean c'mon guys, if Nao's not idiotically honest, there's no climax here...
TaintedWisdom wrote:Just finished watching episode 6 and while I must say the story has been getting quite irritating with her always falling for the traps and whatnot, FINALLY IT APPEARS THE UPCOMING EPISODE IS ONE I CANNOT GUESS. I really have no clue how on earth she can get out of this one. There appears to be a loophole somewhere but until mr.akiyama appears we won't know.
So while episode 6 was garbage, the anticipation build up hopefully will be worth it :)
Garbage? That's a little harsh. I'll have to totally disagree with you.
Each episode has its different traits. No matter if you know Nao will win or lose in the end. It's the hero that usually wins. If you watch Superman or Finding Nemo, 90% of the time, the main character gets what they want. The only thing that keeps you captivated is the process. That's why people don't want spoilers, because they don't want to know how the ending is achieved. The drama MAY have a predictable result but how they get there is the real fun. In fact, I liked ep 6 better than 1 and 2.
Feel free to oppose my views because I really like this show and it keeps me on the edge all the time.
Spoiler — click to reveal I thought it was a great episode to see how Nao works on her own. Not garbage because we get to see how she falls into traps when Akiyama is not around. Then the real cliffhanger to see how she will get out of the situation. How will Akiyama save her? I loved this episode because it looks like there's no hope for Nao and the preview says that Nao can control the game. How?? This show is awesome. In contrast to many other views, I think most of the show is unpredicatable. The strategies dealing with numbers and loop holes are way too much for my brain.
I like how Akiyama is developing. I really like his character. But...
Terryb wrote:Well I guess the Erika Toda fans hate to see her so helpless and baka
even if you're not a fan it's hard not to be annoyed at her. Maybe it's me, but before it never bothered me but I think her voice is really ugly when she's shouting/yelling/crying.
There's only 1 character who's actually is important in this drama, and that is Akiyama. And I think people rather have seen Toda Erika shine
I don't think her voice is ever annoying.. It seems Akiyama is an key character in the story but Nao is the most important. That's because her honest character is being constantly betrayed by those around her. By watching the show, you find out how she deals with this. usually Akiyama comes out to save her but it's because Nao is the important one. If the show was just Akiyama, it wouldn't be as interesting. We need the Nao because she's the "good/innocent" side of the cast.

Being a believer in second chances and stuff, I donLt think NaoLs that stupid just naive and I would like to believe she has something up her sleeve until the series ends. BUT I feel that the scriptwriters pushed her naivity too far for a live action, she becomes indeed a parody of a goody goody. The eternal damsel in distress is maybe a bit out of date in our beautiful 21st century.
Yea, the 21st century is messed up but I wouldn't say that she's crazy. These are the kind of girls you wish you were friends with because you know you can always count on them. I think it's not common to find someone like Nao but she's definitely not a person that I think is stupid and naive. She just has a little more hope in people than the rest of the world. Btw, Akiyama WOULD NOT help Nao unless she was the exact character she's playing now. If Nao was tricky and smart, then the show losses half the entertainment.
=============
Gosh, why am I the only one defending the show and Nao. D-addicts bashing on her?? Well I guess people nowadays don't believe in honest-good hearted people.
For me, I like this show since it really puts you on the edge of your seat every time and your emotions somhow fluctuates like in a roller coaster ride. I suggest that to truly enjoy this drama, we shouldn't dwell on analyzing every minute detail but just see how things will unfold for the characters. but then again there's always the what ifs in our minds....hahaha! :hehe:

I HATE FUKANAGA!!!!!
Me too, i don't think it is a garbage because come on... not all stories run accordingly with the protagonist... episode 6 showed Nao's weaknesses with out Akiyama around...
What's good in this drama is it shows the balance of reality...
Nao portrays the weak side by showing her idiotic honesty... believing so easily she's being deceived just like that...
Akiyama portrays the strong side by being a genius... being able to conduct tactics and strategies that can push you through the edge and making you WOW!
and since we're in the middle of the series, its time to show the protagonist's losing side...
change topic...
can't wait to see how Akiyama saves Nao...
I wanna see the ep. 7!!!!! :banghead: I wanna know how mr. Akiyama save Nao-chan... and I don't think Nao-chan is irritating cus she believes in people! but sometimes it puts me beside myself  :beaten:

Spoiler — click to revealthis makes me come to a hypothesis that it is a part of MLM Company's retribution plan against Akiyama...
i feel bad about this...
Nao is more desperate here than the first 2 episodes... she's really helpless... feel bad for her :shamefulcry:
I WANNA KILL SOMEBODY!!! YOU MUSHROOM! :beatyou:

im saying this one to blkkitty that theres still no eng subs for epi 7 only epi 1 - 6 right now. not for myself. :beaten:
I was so frustrated with Ep6 cus I thought Nao would now finally be able to do something on her own....consdiering she's really driven to help save Akiyama....but then she falls into Mushroom Head's trap again :banghead: I think that's what's starting to get annoying about her character. Then on the preview for Ep6...it's Akiyama to the rescue again  I was really hoping taht she was gonna win that round on her own devices...evenif she was honest and nice cus I DO wanna believe that honest and selfless people can still be competitive in society without sacrificing their morals :(
Well, hopefully, somewhere in the latter eps, we WILL see Nao finally assert herself and win a battle for herself :D

OMG yes I forgot! The plot thickens when we learn about Akiyama's past. When it was revealed I was like, gonna fall out of my chair. This is more than coincidence... Must see ep7.....
Lets kill Mr Fukanaga. Gosh, I hate hearing the word Fukanaga now :bleh:

Well, I think it's a bit too early for her to be able to win on her own. She needed an ep like this to show that she can still be deceived when she's playing by herself. I'm sure that in the later eps, she'll learn.
To be honest, I might have feel for the trap too. I mean, since you're trapped in a corner, what would you do? The offer seemed to work perfectly and maybe the guy had a change of heart. I wouldn't really call her stupid because of that.
Nao always feels bad for the people that are losing. How sweet is that? To join the game to save Akiyama, was that a naive move as well?
