I JUST WATCHED EPISODE 10. it's unbelievable how akiyama and yokoya compete with each other psychologically. looks like it's going to be a really uphill tough fight for akiyama...

REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THE 3-HOUR SPECIAL LAST EPISODE NOW.

I just watched 9! It's awesome! The psychic really changes things up. I wonder how Akiyama will beat the psychic this time??

two great things from ep 9:

1) Mini-Mushroom! hahahahaha

2) The source of the psychic's power: ground up weed. :hehe: Just look at him sniff that stuff!! I'm serious. No wonder he has delusions!

this new game is kinda confusing. I had to think about it

Spoiler — click to reveal so what's the point of saying "doubt 50 million"? Because You should either say "pass", or "doubt 100 million", right? Because if they have money, 100 million is the max, so you'll always win with "doubt 100 million" (you just need to have a higher guess than the actual amount). And then it's pointless to say 50 million cause they might always have more than that. saying "doubt 50 million" doesn't really get you anywhere does it? Explain someone?

Spoiler — click to reveal It does make a difference since if the opponent didn't "smuggle" any money across, the station checker would have to pay half of what he/she doubted to the opponent. Guessing 50 million would thus mean a smaller amount of money lost to the opponent should the opponent not smuggle any money across.

One thing i didn't understand was mushroom head's logic. He said based on his observation, people usually let the opponent pass, doubt 50 million or 100 million, hence they would have a higher chance of winning if they brought 51 million across since it guarantees a 2/3 success rate. but why 51 million? Wouldn't it more profitable should they choose to smuggle 99 million across since it would also guarantee a 2/3 success rate?

hence i guess this meant that guy with the white hair must truly have the ability to look through the suitcase.

the chinese-subbed version of episode 10 is already up for download! For those who wants chinese subs, go dwld it from bbs.btpig.com :)

Spoiler — click to revealhaha i guess it does make a difference whether u smuggle 51 or 99 million since that is the amt u're going to lose if u get seen through. hmm well, i guess it's their way of playing safe in some sense.

but anw U HAVE TO WATCH EPISODE 10. it's really good. reminds me of the episodes during the 2nd round of how akiyama n the antagonist fought with each other.

Spoiler — click to reveal Hmm.. but they will just fail to smuggle that amount of money out, the opponents do not gain that amount of money. It doesn't make a difference when you fail when smuggling 51 or 99 million since this amount of money will just remain in the pool for your next attempts to smuggle it out. However, it does make a difference if the attempt to smuggle is successful (which is 2 out of 3 chances) since you will get 28 million more.. Isn't it?

Spoiler — click to reveal o? i tot if ur opponent managed to doubt correctly they can get the money? i tot that's y mini-mushroom was so arragont. haha! this game is real confusing and difficult to play too.!

Spoiler — click to reveal I think Mushroom's logic was that people always pick PASS, DOUBT 100, or DOUBT 50. I guess that was the ones people commonly smuggled over. And he put 50 and 1 because if they guess 50, you win, if they pass, you win. So your odds of winning are 2/3. But i guess putting in like 90 won't make too much difference if all the guess is doubt 50 and doubt 100. I think this round is under the assumption that the teams are trying to smuggle in similar amounts of cash. ie. 50, 100.

Kindai magazine July 7 Reports the top rated dramas currently

1) Operation Love
2) hanayome to papa
3) Liar Game

Kindai is a pretty popular mag so these results should be pretty accurate.

I guess Liar Game is pretty catchy for the japanese audiences as well as us!

yay i just finished watching episode 10. WOW it's awesome

Spoiler — click to reveal just wondering, has the drama veered away from the manga yet?

I think the whole thing about akiyama acting crazy and tricking the white haired guy was so cool! I would have expected the rules on the usage of the card to withdraw money to be stricter though, didn't know there isn't a limit to the no. of times you can draw money using a particular card.

Something i got a little confused over. How did whatever akiyama do ensure that the amount of money each of the rest of the members of the fire country got is more than that of the white haired guy? Wouldn't it be the same just that the money the white haired guy got came from the fire bank whereas the money the rest of the members got came from the water bank?

Can't wait to watch the next episode!
