you know you're gonna miss a lot if you judge an anime this way. animes that are even idiotic like Excel Saga can be really really fun to watch. i read naruto, bleach etc. just coz there are too many episodes watch. But for the big battles like Naruto's 3 sannin battle or sakura VS the akatsuki dude, i prefer watch the anime. but they are good, childish, but good. though i don't see lacking intellectual part.
Death Note is good. i only watched a couple of episodes though. i read the manga (and that took me a loong time, so many texts). i dunno any other animes like Death Note. but if you're looking for a smart anime, you can always go for all-time favorite Detective Conan. it's really good.

try Higurashi no Naku Koro ni or Monster
as far as your opinion of Craputo and Blech, unfortunately you and I are in the minority. the vast majority o the viewing public likes those episodic unlikely annoying child hero characters who cannot die, almost never lose and is always able to pull off an unlikely predictible win. Just like we're flooded with reality TV shows in the states.

Couldn't have put it better myself hehe. :hehe:
Those anime do in fact remind me of the recycled reality tv/couch potato shows they give on the states hahaa.
Oh and Monta it has nothing to do with the funny/idiotic things in the anime. I myself have seen a few episodes of Yakitate which is pretty idiotic but is still pretty fun and has a lot of play-on words. I fact I love comedy however, as Krim said the whole child hero who never dies, and is straight up predictable is just so recycled. I think I passed that phase over 8 years ago with Dragon Ball Z. That's the beauty of Death Note, the question of morality behind is simply amazing, the viewer must decide on who's side are you on and why. Is Light a bad guy? or is he actually good? Are you on L's side that justice will prevail? To those who seen it, you know what happens and even in the end you end up wanting more.
Thanks for the suggestion, will look into them ^_^
Watched Episode 1 of Higurashi no Naku Koro.
Still can't decide if I'm going to like it or not.
I like the whole murder/massacre idea/story behind it however, the drawing style is just so :bleh:
Looks like some sort of kiddy cartoon hahah.
:hehe: judge it after you get to the second season. that anime has become a total hit after Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai. i haven't seen the second season myself, but my friend told me so. yeah, the first season was absurd. but i like the whole killing thing
Second season eh?
The first season has loads of episodes X_X
I think that was the beauty behind Death Note, short, and no fillers, just straight up action. ^_^
Hey talking about something else (thought this would be the most appropriate place to ask this, but if there is another, let me know hehe)
I'm looking for a few pictures of those faces/expression that some anime have. For example: the tear/sweat drop next to their face, or the X shaped veins in the forehead etc.
I need it for a presentation I'm doing, but can't seem to find a uniform style (like all by the same artist and not just random anime screenshots). Something I'm able to use as a theme, preferably without a background and just the expression/face itself.
Thanks in advance, if someone can find this for me, I will owe ya big time.

crap, i'm on a diet. but i can always work out and eat nothing the next day anyway :beaten:
I'm rewatching Last Exile.... Its an anime from a few years ago but the graphics on it still rivals, if not bests most of the current ones...
For the newer anime, Moonlight Mile is one of the better series of the year. Cant wait for season 2....
Claymore was also one of the better animes this year but they cut it short... I was reading the manga and from the looks of it, it should have been a long series but I guess the producers didnt have enough budget to make it a multi-season series..
it's daymn funny. i saw today's episode on TV and nearly fell of my chair...
Misae and the mommies are making a volleyball team. No one was interested. But then the baba neighbor said that the coach is a neighbor who used to be so hot called Murakata. But after the word hot was said, Misae and the mommies didn't realize the used to be and they were all like, "Aaah... Murakata. kakkoi... sounds like Ace wo Nerae...". and then, well, you can already guess what happens next :hehe:
info on those who are interested in the Yakitate Ja-Pan breads at BreadTalk, turns out it's until the 30th of November!
what sucks, is that it's only in Singapore :tired:
why?? i mean, if it was an Animax promotion, surely there are soooo many people who watches Animax in Indonesia :shakehead: . i think i'm gonna e-mail animax. i want them to do the promotion in Indonesia too :)
I'm back to watching Yakitate! I had a pause for while around ep 35 so Ive started at 25 again.
