Same here. I was actually more interested in Kanako's backstory. I was surprised they explained that so quickly, in only a few lines of dialogue...
What were those things Haruo made at the foot of the door one morning when Sachi was leaving for school?
Shiroi Haru

Thanks for the link. :) I have never heard of that chinese legend before. Funny that an ox was used instead of horses, must have been a very ancient legend. :hehe:
I thought Ep. 8 was slow but had picked up toward the end. Still a great dorama for this season.

More competition between Haruo and Koji. :hehe: I'm looking forward to watching Haruo and Shiori's date.Spoiler — click to reveal
The peeling scene was amusing but a little bit too silly I thought. It's nice to see the little signs of Kanako starting to warm up to Haruo too. Looks like Sachi will be diagnosed with the same illness as Mariko, sounds very cliche but it is possible for it to be different, hopefully it will be somewhat original. Not really looking forward to it but I enjoyed episode 8 as with all the other episodes.

Watched episode 9. A lot of the hospital scenes felt long with the cliche situation. There were some funny moments at the beginning, like when Haruo realized Sachi was watching him looking at his salary. I thought Shiraishi Miho was very good in this episode too. But overall, a little disappointing. Waiting to find out how this would end...xploring wrote:Spoiler — click to reveal

I agree with you about Shiraishi Miho. I still think this is gonna be sad toward the end
Guess I should get my butt in gear and start downloading this drama.
EDIT: There's only softsubs for episode one. :puppydog:

Episode 10 was good, time passed very quickly. Yoshitaka Yuriko showed what a good actress she is. Final episode next week!

There are hardsubs for a few more episode. I think, 4?

I feel she and Shiraishi Miho really should have been given more material to work with, their own story arcs were over in a flash.---

As expected this one ends in sorrow. Abe Hiroshi deserves an award for his acting. :applaud: If you do not shed a tear then you have no heart.Hands down my #1 for this Spring.

still sobbing over haru which i thought it was totally unnecessary. :shamefulcry:
Good show with good acting all around. Though the story line was very predictable, at least for me, even the ending came as no surprise
:hot: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: Why do I have to spoil my summer this way ???
cried a lot -non stop- right from the start till the end

Okay, like just about everybody else, didn't care too much for the ending, I was ready to give this a 9 until then.[/list:u] You know, with a better ending there is more than enough material for a sequel. Yoshitaka and Shiraishi's characters both could have been developed a lot more.
Anyway, I still liked it a lot.

But it does sort of tie-in with the beginning, it makes sense that the son would seek revenge for his father. But geez, if you're gonna have your store closed for the day, wouldn't you LOCK THE F**KING DOOR!!!Anyway, I still liked it a lot.
