The only gaming I've ever done was Sports Car GT on my PC... I still have the steering wheel and pedals. :beaten:

I can't wait until Gran Turismo 5 is released next month so I can fulfill my Stig fantasy.

Some say he can swim seven lengths under water, and he has webbed buttocks... all we know is, he's called the Stig.

Have your helmet and Nomex suit ready?

I thought that was Aquaman... Or is it his other alias?

:hehe: Yeah the one with the polarized visor glass.

I sleep with racing shoes and gloves on.

The Stig knows no limitation.

Anyone on here playing the Yakuza-games? They're called Ryū ga Gotoku in Japan... If not, I'll tell you they're AWESOME!

I played the first three, the US versions. I enjoyed playing them as well. The storyline is really engaging. Yakuza 1 and 2 were actually written by Hase Seishū, a well known Japanese crime novelist.

The fourth Yakuza title is coming out next March in the States I think.

And here I was a simple Aquaman fan since childhood.

But having always been a web fan... :hot:

So he's left car racing for the oceans depths, huh?

Most likely, yes. The fifth game, subtitled "Of the End" has been announced in Japan, as well. It will, and this is no joke, center around a zombie outbreak in Kamurocho, whereby Kazuma has to use weapons (such as a sniper rifle) to kill hundreds of thousands of zombies. It's a radical departure from the usual stories, but since it's Yakuza, I'll buy it anyway ;)

Hell, I have to! I even own the (in the US and EU) unreleased Kenzan!

Yeah I heard about the fifth title...zombies sound friekin' lame to me. How many zombie games do you need. I'll reserve judgment until later.

Looking forward to playing Gran Turismo 5 next month, but I'd also like to get Rock Band 3 as well. The only thing holding me back from getting that game is the cost of the instruments. $150 for the guitar, $80 for the keyboard and I don't know how much the drum set is.

For now I'm just playing Madden 11, which probably will be the last Madden I buy for a long while. :grumble:

Just go with Gran Turismo 5. Kazunori Yamauchi has been working on that game for years! So, you'll know you have a good product. And hey, 1000 cars for so little money is a really great deal! :)

All those cars for $60!

I'm thinking of getting a steering wheel for that game. Hoping to find an older Logitech model that came out with GT4.

Check eBay and Amazon... I saw a couple of used ones at both locations.

After all this SCGT talk, I pulled out my mothballed steering wheel and pedals, but I can't use 'em at the moment: I need a game port and I don't have one. :(

I went ahead and checked out both sites, managed to find one going for $68 with shipping. Haven't pulled the trigger yet, but it's certainly a good price compared to the other sellers.

Game port, I sort of remember that  I had a Microsoft Sidewinder controller that required that port.

I thought I saw a used Logitech one at Amazon for about $32...?

I went digging through my PC parts box and found a sound/gameport card, but it was an ISA card and my current PC only has PCI slots... :(

Fortunately, I found an eBay seller with a PCI card for under $4.00... And that includes shipping. :victory:

That's nice, soon you'll be able to game again :victory: Game Port and ISA remind me of our old family computer my parents bough like 15 years ago. Doom and Quake took up a good chunk of time on that

I did see a Logitech Wireless Driving Force in the $30 range, but the Driving Force Pro was what I had mind. I remembered trying that out at Fry's when GT4 first came out and I was hooked. I'll keep looking through Ebay as the GT version of the steering wheel looks to be around the same price.
