It's quite sad, SMAP didn't have much activities this year, so I drifted away from them because of the lack of hype. I quite honestly don't know anything about Goro and Tsuyoshi. I like Shingo a lot and spent a lot of time this year watching old episodes of Tensei Shingo. He's this adorable ball of cuteness.

As for Nakai, it's a nice surprise whenever I'm watching videos with Yamapi/Jun/Kame in it... and Nakai is there interviewing them and teasing them. Like when Yamapi couldn't do a proper backflip, Nakai had a disgusted face and said "NAH... that's no Johnny backflip at all!" And everyone on the set knew that Nakai couldn't even do one himself! :mrgreen: Then when I watch Nakai being so in-control of hosting them, I do tell myself "Ah, SMAP members are always the most kakkoii in the end"

Kimura in a Taiga Drama: GAH... I wish Kimura would stop starring in dramas like that, they are so hard to watch. I barely watched Karei Naru or Buchi No Ichibun. People are complaining that Kimura should start acting his age, that's why he is starring in all these dramas right now. I do wish to see more of the Engine/Pride genre where the plot is lighter and Kimura is more fresh in it. I want to see him with Nakama Yukie!!

Agree with all your remarks. Have adored Kimura san for ever and when he found Shizuka I was so pleased because to be alone after having a girl friend for nine years and then for her to leave him was such a sad thing. I liked Shizuka as a performer and I have read about her many talents. Kimura had admired her a long time before he met her. How brave to decide to have a baby and then marry against all the harshness of JE orders and fan reaction. I think they are a happy family and Kimura san has grown into a very mature and greater personality now he is a family man.

yeah zephyrscarlet, i don't understand why kimura acting his age = being more serious and stern. i didn't know you stopped being fun and active at 34. there's a difference between being juvenile and young. you can still do sporty/physical things. that is why it depresses me so much when goro or nakai talk about their bodies not being so young anymore and everything aches. well, if they don't keep active with sports or some other form of fitness because of their "old age" at their mid 30s, i'm scared to think of how they will be at 40. look at johnny depp (44) or brad pitt (43). they're still running around and jumping off things in action movies. not that i'm saying smap members should be doing that but they can at least try to follow that sorta spirit as they get older.

nakai hasn't had a "fresh/young" sort of role since maybe his 2000 drama good news. ever since he did shiroi kage(where he was only 29 at the time), he's sorta been typecasted into a serious/brooding character. it's so sad too because out of smap he's really got the babyface. i mean justin timberlake thought he was in his 20s when he appeared in the ending song.

YEAP! I read in the newspapers that the Japanese audiences have been complaining that Kimura is still acting like a cassanova (Pride) and being child-like (Engine) when in reality, he's over 30 and a father of two. People said he should take on more serious roles, roles fit for his real age. From his latest projects, it's pretty clear he's listening to the advice and moving on to the serious roles, which I don't fancy at all. I mean, I'm such a big Kimutaku fan, and I couldn't watch Karei Naru at all! Let's not even get started on Buchi No Ichubun. I'm such a bad fan :shamefulcry:

how often Johnny Depp act in a movie ? smap members have to shoot sxs weekly, beside sxs, they have their individual programme.

their work schedules is too tight for them to think of sport.

What do you think of HERO? I think its not so serious.
He mentioned the possiblity of HERO 2 the other day at Busan, which means he and his staff isn't gping to take only serious roles dosen't it?
And don't worry much about the Taiga drama. It's just rumor and Iijima-san won't accept offer from NHK because taiga drama will take too long time and the guarantee would be very low. :sweat:
As for Tsuyoshi, I don't care whether he is in a comedy drama or a serious drama. I can enjoy all dramas and movies he is in. :woot:

I've also just heard about Nakai's hospitalization.
So worrying about him. It may be better for him to receive surgery.
But his tight schedule dosen't allow him. :shamefulcry:

I think the 5 of them are aware of their health and they will be fit even at the age of 50 (imagining Nakai dancing at 50 :naughty: )

Karei and Bushi are great I'm not tired of rewatching them, I also love Pride and Engine.

But what I love most is the 5 of them in a concert, their not acting its reality.

Wah... I cannot watch Engine at all!! xD I watched PRIDE, but I thought stories like that are so common already. On the contrary, I LOVED Karei-naru!! Hehee... such opposite taste we have :mrgreen:
I wouldn't mind a taiga drama, if its done like Toshiie to Matsu or Shinsengumi which I think are GEMs!!^^ Eheh... I'm still in my early 20s, but is my artistic taste match obasan-s taste? :sweat:

I hope Nakai will take this seriously the range of his white blood cell is alarming its almost 3x the normal.

I just finished watching "IiTomo Spring SP" April this year, the one with Kanno Miho, Yamapi, Nagasawa Masami, etc. And that one was HILLARIOUS!!!! Goro must be laughing hard at home to see that, LOL! Nakai still act like an older brother to her, just like old times^^ He kept scolding her thru out the show^^ Funny when Nakai mentioned "Miho-chan", he corrected himself, "Kanno-san" :mrgreen:

The Yamapi vs Taguchi boxing match was interesting too! The whole games are very good and well-thought in this Spring SP.

Ahhh~~ I miss SMAP members participating in these IiTomo Specials or Nakai's Bowling. It is always more fun and hillarious when Kimura or Goro or Tsuyoshi or Shingo is also in the games. Nakai would tease them and all. Hopefully next year there's a SMAP member's FujiTV drama :fingerscrossed:

I'm not sure bout the others,, but Nakai-kun,, his schedules are from Monday to Friday,, deshou?? Dun really remember the exact time,, but know that he do have an off during weekends.. About the Taiga drama,, whatever they involve,, as long as we get a new project from them.. Yup,, itz a bit too long for NHK's,, a year,, but thatz mean,, I can watch it every week,, just like Shinsengumi,, (lol,, although I dun understand it at all...).. Hmm,, just a rumour now,, ha,, finally,, we got a better rumour,, compare to those disbanding and all those with the recording moving..

Goro-chan appeared in another Iitomo SP a few years ago with Ikuta Toma to promote Asuka SP. He won the archery competition that year, too.

I heard that kimura san hire bodygard to take care his daughters(500,000 yen/month). He and his wife were very upset because paparazzies kept on following his kids and kokomi picture spread on the internet.

Oh....those two little kids. Feel pity for them :shakehead:
