Here is the synopsis of the anime :mrgreen:

CHACHA is the story of a young witch, ChaCha, who lives with her master Seravi on Mt. Mochimochi. She is young and impressionable, and not the brightest of students. In addition, her magic never seems to work quite right.

.....Seravi is not without his own quirks. He carries around a doll named Elizabeth that he talks to. She talks back to him (via Seravi's ventriloquism), often issuing comments that are too nasty (and funny) for Seravi to say directly. On a rival mountain lives Dorothy, whom Seravi used to love. But, according to Seravi, she got mean and her hair turned red, so now Seravi spends most of his time putting her down--usually through Elizabeth--which only makes Dorothy madder.

.....The other two main characters include Riiya, a werewolf who comes from a family of giants and is very strong; and Shiine, a young wizard apprenticed to Dorothy. Riiya and Shiine-chan (as he prefers to be called) both have feelings for ChaCha and tend to bicker a lot. ChaCha, meanwhile, is totally unaware of their feelings for her.

.....Other characters include: Black-hooded Yakko, who is ChaCha's self-proclaimed rival because she is in love with Seravi and can't stand the fact that Chacha lives with him; Marin the mermaid, who has a crush on Riiya but doesn't know that he turns into a wolf cub, so she is often confused; and Orin, the ninja who quietly develops a crush on Shiine.

.....They all attend the magical school, and most of them are in Class Banana, with the whip-wielding high-strung Rascal Sensei as their teacher. The school is run by--or perhaps continues to run in spite of--Urara Encho, the ditzy principal who is always wandering around singing to herself. (This character is voiced by Shimamoto Sumi, the same woman who gave Kyoko and Nausicaa voices.) In a bizarre turn of events, she is one of the most powerful characters in the show. In one episode, with just a few slaps of her dainty hand she made short work of a monster that had ransacked the school and terrorized her students.


The Characters


Akazukin Cha Cha

Cha cha is a very cute, little magician girl who is still learning how to use magic from her teacher Seravi. She has blonde hair, and is always wearing a red riding hood. Chacha goes to a magician's school, Urara Gakuen, and is in banana gumi (banana class). She still can't use magic very well, and messes up a lot. Chacha likes Riiya, although she treats him like her pet sometimes. Chacha can ride her broom through the air, but she can only ride by herself. When someone rides with her (even if it is Riiya in his wolf form), she usually spins and wipes out.
When there is trouble, Chacha can transform into the Magical Princess Holy Up. (This transformation does not exist in the manga.) For this transformation, Chacha was given a pendant princess medallion, a ring, and a bracelet from Seravi. She needs two close friends to help her with the transformation. So Chacha uses the pendant, Riiya uses the bracelet, and Shiine uses the ring to trigger the transformation.

The Princess has a magic bow and arrow that she shoots to defeat the bad guys. She says, "Beauty Serein Arrow.. Magical Shoot!" as she fires the arrow. Later, Chacha goes on a quest to find the other magical items (weapons), because her arrow wasn't strong enough for the stronger bad guys. The ability of the Magical Princess is not only to use the three items, but also to use the power of the people who trust her, such as Riiya, Shiine, Seravi, Dorothy, Yakko, Marin, and Orin. These people along with Chacha are called the 8 Paladins of love and courage.


RIIYA (KATORI SHINGO)

Riiya is a little wolf boy, who can turn himself into a little white wolf whenever he wants to, even without the moon. He has blue hair, and wears a T-shirt. Riiya likes Chacha and hates Seravi. He goes to the same school as Chacha, and he is always hungry and eats a lot. (this character seems similar with Shingo huh?? :mrgreen: )
Whenever Riiya wants to attack something, he turns into the little white wolf. Then just as he leaps towards the opponent, Chacha yells, "Wai, Riiya kawaii!" [Wow, Riiya you're so cute] and hugs Riiya.


SHIINE

Shiine is a little boy magician who is learning magic from Dorothy. He has brown hair, and wears a robe-like outfit. He fell in love with Chacha at first sight. Shiine also goes to the same school as Chacha.
Shiine was jealous of Chacha hugging Riiya, so he turned himself into a little mouse. But since Chacha was afraid of mice, she and Riiya pounded Shiine.

SERAVI

Seravi is the world's strongest magician, and also Chacha's teacher. He is tall and has blue/green hair. He lives in a little house in Mochi Mochi Mountain. Seravi graduated from Urara Gakuen.
Seravi usually carries around his little doll, called Elizabeth. In the past, Seravi was a knight at the king's castle. However when the Daimaou came, he carried baby Chacha and escaped.

DOROTHY
Dorothy is a strong magician, who is around Seravi's age. She has long red hair, and lives in Urizuri Mountain. Dorothy hates Seravi, and wants him dead so she can be the strongest magician. She graduated from Urara Gakuen with Seravi.
Dorothy's family was very, very rich. But according to Dorothy's younger brother Doris, Dorothy left home when she was younger saying that she was going to be the strongest magician in the world.



YAKKO
Yakko is a cute little magician girl who is in the magician school. She has purple hair and wears a black riding hood. Yakko loves Seravi and wants to marry him.
Yakko's specialty is to make strange medicines with her magic. But most of the time, she messes up and uses the wrong bottle, which cause more problems than it solves.

MARIN
Marin is a pretty and cute mermaid girl who fell in love with Riiya. She has hot pink hair. But she still doesn't know that Riiya was a wolf boy and can transform.
When Marin goes on land and becomes dry, her fins turn into legs. Marin is a very selfish girl, and will go all out to get Riiya. Marin goes to Urara Gakuen, and is in ringo gumi (apple class).

ORIN-CHAN
Orin is a shy, little ninja girl who fell in love with Shiine. Orin is in the same class as Chacha at Urara Gakuen

RASCAL TEACHER
Rascal Teacher is the teacher of Chacha's class, who had long hair. He always carries a long whip and says that he will whip the ones who screw up. But Rascal is actually a very kind hearted teacher.

Shingo sometimes become nervous when a sexy girl stading in front of him. I see it many times, but the one I'm can't forget until now is when he, Kimura and Goro shooting for one of SMAP shows (I can't remember what kind of show is, where Kimura act as P-chan with a weird outfit). Norika Fujiwara become their guest for that shows and she wears red + pink dress, so sexy ne~~She standing in front of Shingo and raise her leg. Shingo seems ashamed to see her like that and his face at that time is so so funny. :rofl: :rofl: He's like...confused, turn to Kimura and then turn to Goro, and then bow his head. :hehe: Seems like he didn't want to see Norika like that :mrgreen: I can't stand watching him at that time~~haha~~ :rofl: :rofl:

This is Riya. He's a mountain wolf boy whose home is on the top of Mt. Mochi-mochi. Riya can change into a super cute little white wolf. Cha Cha loves to cuddle him really tight. Riya likes it when Cha Cha cuddles him. Shiine on the other hand is not very appreciative about Riya's wolf form, and oftens calls Riya a dog. Upon hearing that, Riya will always shout,"I'm not a dog!" Riya's pretty sensitive about being called a dog when he's really a mountain wolf.
Riya is extremely strong and can lift boulders or other large objects a lot heavier than himself. He can punch a hole in a wall!
Riya lives with Seravi because because he thinks that Seravi's cottage is his home. He's not as smart as Shiine. But I admire his knack for untrusting some bad guys. Riya's not a very deep thinker and may appear to be silly at times. He's adorable because he's so silly. In the manga, Riya is said to be so silly that he doesn't know how to lie. In school, Riya sleeps most of his classes away, and hence, doesn't get very high grades. Riya loves to play with rounded objects. He loves to bite them. They can be anything from a soft-toy teddy to a rubber ball.
Riya is also a very big eater and he's always hungry. This is also his setback because some enemies have bribed and baited him with food.
Riya wears the braclet of courage which he uses to help Cha Cha change into Princess Holy-up.
Later in the manga, Riya tries very hard to become a super-hero ^^, he succeeds through some kind of "dog" competition. He then joins Cha Cha, Shiine, Naruto and Heihachi in the Rainbow Group of Magical Rangers.

Riya is the youngest member in his family of wolf-people. Shortly after his birth, his parents fell down a gorge and were never seen again. They were believed to have died.
Riya was put into the hands of Seravi. Seravi was told to care for Riya till he grew older. Riya was made to believe that couple of hand-puppet wolves were his parents. Seravi acted as Riya's father and mother using the puppets and his ventriloquism.
The turning point came when Riya came home with a 'Parents-Teacher Meeting' invitation. The school had asked to see his parents. Upon returning home, Riya immediately went to look for his parents. To his horror, he found them hanging on the clothes line! Seravi had decided to give the puppets an untimely wash.
Unable to hide the truth any longer, Seravi told Riya that his real parents were dead. Riya didn't want to believe it. He wanted to go to Mt. Mochi-mochi to ask his grandfather himself. Cha Cha and Shiine found him and decided to join him.
At Mt. Mochi-mochi, Riya's grandfather confirmed his worst fears. His parents were dead. Riya cried knowing he was an orphan.
They went to pay respects to his parents. Their graves were situated at the part of the gorge they fell into. Riya had brought along a packet of biscuits, he opened it and emptied it into the gorge.
Then, a shout was heard! A couple of wolf-people crawled out of the gorge. Riya's older family members recognised them as his parents. They've reached the top after climbing up the gorge for several years!
Riya was extremely happy that his parents were alive and well. Cha Cha and Shiine then went home without Riya because they thought that Riya would be staying with his parents. Cha Cha was very sad, but Shiine was absolutely delighted.
But one day, Riya came back! Much to Cha Cha's delight. When asked why, he said that Seravi's cottage was his home.
