Hello simone and rina!

A boy for Takuya would be nice but it's not possible if Shizuka wants to make a comeback.

Isn't the Goro-Takuya relationship interesting. You'd think they wouldn't get along because Nakai and Shingo always tease Goro-chan and say that being around him is too kimazui. But Goro-Takuya seem to be on even terms. I think Goro respects Takuya a great deal but he isn't afraid of him like the others are sometimes.

Elaine, you live in Japan? How do you get by without speaking? Self-learning? Sugoii ne! Just like Tsuyoshi and Korean. I'm trying to teach myself Japanese to one word at a time. But it is hard without anyone to speak it to.

A lot of names seem so familiar. I try to read as many things about smap as I can. But the forums I visit regularly are this one, Channel Smap, and Smap for U. Are there any other good English Smap forums?

I've visited Japan lots of times but lately I have an urge to want to live there for a year or two. Maybe a few years from now after I learn more Japanese. That's my dream. :)

The way I became a smappy is actually kind of embarrasing. It's really a long story. Are you sure you want to read about it?

Okay here goes :chatter:

When I went to Japan about 10 years ago I saw them on TV on SmaSma....and I hated them :crazy2: I was still in high school and very anti-boyband because BackStreet Boys were popular in the US and all these boybands came out of nowhere.

I really didn't pay any attention to SMAP even though I would see them on TV every once in awhile in the US because my dad would watch Kouhaku and other Japanese shows. Then I saw their Yozora no Mukou performance and I was secretly in love. With Smap and Goro even though I didn't know who he was at the time. But I didn't have access to them (no internet) and sort of forgot about them.

Cut to 8 or 9 years later and my aunt becomes obsessed with Kimura Takuya. Just goes on and on about him. She watches all his dramas and has some SMAP cds. And I thought to myself, "SMAP they're my age. You're twice as old as they are." And that started the whole thing. I surfed the internet looking for as much information on them as possible. Just to prove to her that they sucked and they were too young ( I was still incredibly baka at the time). I was shocked to find out that the older members were in their 30's and the youngest was a few years older then me. I could of sworn they were younger than me. And Kimura was married to Kudo Shizuka. I caught about ten years information in a matter of weeks and I was completely hooked.

Really I went from utter hatred to completely forgetting to undying love in a ten -year journey, haha.

Everytime I saw something new, I was more in love. I didn't even know Goro had wavy hair because he had it straightened in the late 90s. And now I'm way more into SMAP than my aunt. I had to tell her that Kimura hates being called KimuTaku, heh. And the rest of my friends and family think I'm crazy now because I did a complete 180.

Oh, man! I'm sorry...I didn't mean to right a novel.

Elaine, please tell us your Nakai story when you have time.

BTW, what time is it where you are at right now?
