I'm aiming to get into a local university with Japanese language as minor, will be sitting for JLPT too.

Topic about Goro?!!! He's my 3-ban in Smap!!! His mysterious aura kinda attracts me, and his good look too. I've read about him and Hosho Mai before, still I think he's better with Miho and I'm just waiting for them to get married. In SxS, I'm quite suprise that he can be actually so into comedy acts, while you know his look and actual personalities show the opposite. Yappari, professional actor! And yes, he's the only one who always smile and optimistic about getting batsu in SxS! He actually hope to get along and closer with other members in batsu game.

Takuya, I don't know whether it's correct to say that he's always proud of himself. I think he's just very honest with himself and hate to lose the most. Of course when he wins in a competition with other members, he has the 'proud' face. For a man like him who risk his career for a family, I really respect him. While Nakai in the other hand, he would chooses Smap over his own priority. Fan like me like Takuya because he's the Kimura Takuya of Smap.

Smap is a great band!!!

hi again! i realised that i don't know how to do the quote thing that all of you can! i'm bad with names so i can't remember whose comments i want to reply so i'll just do what i can remember. i'm from singapore btw!

Yanie-chan, are you the same yanie who owns kmdz? if that is so, wow that's great! i love your work, top notch stuff! i love the kimura-matsu pairing soooooo much! i've lots to say about them too... but once i start i may never stop!

on the comment about goro being a physically stiff person, i agree with you!!!! :bonk: isn't it weird how goro may be physically stiff, but he is such a smooth operator with the ladies? as mentioned before by someone in this thread (sorry i'm bad with names and am a computer idiot!), goro is really good in the social scene isn't it? haha goro does seem to have many faults but i can't seem to dislike him!!! guess that's the goro charm?

is goro's dancing that painful to watch? i think its cute! as for dancing skills, i think its a tie between nakai and kimura. hmm but kimura is better by a bit because sometimes nakai dances too fast! but nooooo nakai's singing is unbearable!!! his other strengths must have shone very brightly during the Johnny's audition for him to be recruited by Johnny!

anyway it's great how all of you here love smap as a whole, i have a lot to learn! i spent my last 2 years only watching smap-related stuff only if kimura was involved!

When I'm watching Smap dance, my eyes automatically lie on Nakai, and I feel he's the best dancer in Smap(that's only for me) and one of the best in JE. For his voice, you have no idea how many times I've listen to Nakai's solo part in Freebird.

In his early Smap days, his singing is actually not that bad. Since he involved so much into variety shows, his voice is getting worse and he spent 500 000 yen for singing lessons. But his singing never get any better so he decided to concentrate on hosting shows. Wise choice... Actually Nakai never thought that Smap would last this long, so he pushed Shingo and Tsuyoshi into veriety shows, and encourage other members to get some skills so that in case when Smap is gone(of course that'll never happen!), they have something to depend on in the entertainment circle other than Smap.

Nakai joined JE because
1)He no longer can play (pro)baseball due to his hand's injury, so he wanted to learn dancing, and he likes to dance.
2)Can go to overseas for free.
3)Can meet some famous stars.

So, it's true that Nakai had stayed in the same dorm with Goro? I only knew that Goro and Jyoshima Shigeru(TOKIO) are roommates in the legendary JE dorm, so the two get along well too.

I've read somewhere before that Goro is a comedy fan, but I'm not sure whether I read that right or not. However, Bistro 4Dec06 with Nodame casts as guests confirmed that. He said he watch Nodame Cantabile and Nakai added, "He's really a comedy maniac!". haha!^^
But I think it suits his REAL personality. You know THE Goro on-camera is different with behind-the-scene Goro, desho?? All members had always told stories about how different Goro is, now and then xD

And he looks really happy when any of the member talks about him even if its something that would make him look bad...lol! In ending talk, when Shingo said, "My most favorite song in MIJ album is Quiz no Joou! My duet song with Goro-chan,". Goro was beaming with smile!!^^

Best dancer? Shingo, IMHO :) He loves dancing the most, actually. When asked, "Which one do you like doing best: acting, hosting, or singing & dancing?". He answered, "Singing & dancing!".
In an ending talk, he once said, "I pick this song, because it's a dance song!! I just wanna dance today! Before I join SMAP, I was a dancer, anyway...".
With Kimura adding in, "Before SMAP? You were just an elementary school student, weren't you?". Wahaha!!!

Coincidentally, Shingo's brother is a dancer^^ I wonder if his brother ever become SMAP concerts' backdancer??

shingo - eto, hmmm, i don't really have anything to say! i think it's because i don't really focus on him that much. if i do find something i don't like i will update it and tell you guys

tsuyoshi - etooo, not much to say about him either!

kimura - sometimes i think he tries to hard to be kakkoii! like for example, during the 2005 drama sp thing on waratte ii tomo, when he was promoting engine, i just thought he was trying too hard to pose coolly when he was doing the archery. i don't know, goro just aims and focuses on the target and doesn't really care about the pose. but i really did think that kimura was trying to look kakkoii. or maybe that was just his idea of good archery? :crazy:

nakai - etoo ne, hmm. hehe. he IS my ichiban. i don't really dislike his pervertedness or when he "hits" the women announcer on utaban. it all adds to his cuteness actually! :bonk: i don't like however, how he is so distant from females!! it's not really a dislike i guess, more of a complaint. oddly, you'd think i wouldn't wanna see this seeing as he's my ichiban, but i DO!!

goro's bad dancing and nakai's bad singing don't really make me dislike them because that's somethign they can't really help and it's not part of their personalities. i guess i base my dislikes on personalities. however, goro's dancing does make me cringe sometimes

Will opening up a Smap Cafe considered illegal? I suddenly have this thought of opening one...just a cafe dedicating to SMAP, also it will be a place for SMAP resources, where fans can go and eat and drink and enjoy watching smap, singing smap's karaoke, a place for smap fans to gather....u know things like dat....

What you could do is open a cafe and then quietly fill it up with SMAP stuff (have concerts playing on a tv, music playing on your own cd player, your own posters and stuff hanging on the walls) and let all the Smappies know about it. Then it would just be a regular cafe owned by a SMAP fan that quietly becomes the SMAP hangout in your area.

Hello minna! Megumi from the US, nice to meet you. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu. I'm new here but not to SMAP. I been a fan for a few years and had the wonderful privilege of going to 2 Pop Up concerts! Yes, I went to Japan and am going again this year! I can't get enough of them!

I been to this forum a couple of times but just realized that there was a discussion part :crazy: I always just looked up the artist! haha Anyway, I saw the pictures of Shingo and fell over! I've seen some of them but not the whole CM! Shingo without closes is a good thing! :muack: Anyway, this is a wonderful forum and I'll see ya around. Ja Ne!

This is one of my most favorite places to talk about SMAP, almost no one talks about SMAP at JPM and there are SO many rules and it's almost scary at freebird and it seems like everyone's friends with each other on channel and I don't really know anyone there and on livejournal it's just newbie questions and such on. .. Wow. A SMAP hangout. I would kill for something like that in the states. Well, I mean my house is it's own SMAP hangout, BUT there are no SMAP fans that live near me, I live in a real small town.

I'm dead serious! I already have around six grand set aside for this year. Hell, went to last year, I gotta go to this year's and the next year's and such on. Plus with Yanie in Tokyo, that means I gotta go to a concert with her, we could have matching Matsu/Takuya uchiwa's! ^^;;;;
