The topic tonight is... GORO! :hehe: I don't mind at all. I love the guy so much!!

But Goro once admit too, ne. He knows he's the least popular....he has the least shine. He said, in his early career when he was young, he usually kept thinking, "What can I do to catch up with the other four?? How can I have the same shine as the others?".
But then he gradually realized, "Why should I catch up with the others? Maybe it is alright to be where I am. It is the best to stay where I am and just be what I am. With that, I can balance and complete the group..."

Nakai is more popular than Kimura? Hmm...its hard...maybe they are equally popular. But then, just like how you analyze it. It's quite difficult to prove concretely who is more popular... For me, it looks almost like ALL FIVE are equally popular in different areas and different aspects.

Too bad, there has never been any research to prove who's the most popular. But then again, it has no point either, even if one conduct a research like that =P

I sooo agree with you!! Their last bad rumour was in early 2004, I think. When it was reported Goro cheated on Miho again xD Then suddenly 'siiing'.....no rumours at all about them. And I seriously thought they already broke up.

But suddenly, in August 2005, it was reported by a ramen shop owner that Goro-Miho had dinner in that place. Waa....I was so happy when I got this news!! It must be on Miho's birthday, coz its in August. And its such a casual futsu place...a ramen shop!! NOT the -candlelight dinner in a european restaurant- Goro type, y'know!! haha....and that ramen shop is said to be Miho's favorite place^^

Since that early 2004, there had never been any rumours again about Goro cheating on Miho ne...^^ They've been going quite steady for the last 2 years now.

Thursday got Utaban
Friday got KinSma
Sunday got Black Variety & Waratte Ii Tomo

Except Saturday,, the others are all full with his shows,, I also think that many ppl likes Nakai more than Kimura-kun,,, (not bcoz I'm his ichiban), coz I seldom heard of anything negative of him,, but many sayz that Kimura-kun is just too proud of himself.. Dun get me wrong,, yes, he should be proud bcoz of his dramas.. But that makes ppl think that this guy just think that he's the best, no one is better than him,, something like that,, so start to dislike him,, :sweat: But Nakai-kun, he never shown up a proud on his face b4, ne?? hi everyone :D thanks for making me feel so welcomed here. it's amazing, i was just out for dinner for a couple of hours and so many comments have been left! all very interesting reads! pity i don't have much time to participate in this forum frequently... it's just that it's my free time now

anyhow, since you guys are receptive people, allow me to talk freely about my opinions of smap. :sweat: i'm quite new to posting online, though i have been a smap fan for 2 years. so please correct me when i'm wrong or being insensitive!

is there anything you guys do not like about smap? i know we should accept and love them for all their faults and such, but is there anything that you do not quite agree with?

initially for me, i found it quite disconcerting that they are not as close off-screen as they are on-screen. there was a smap show i watched, forgot which was it, where all of them were being really genki and joking around. when the staff shouted "BREAK TIME!" all of them just snapped out of their genki-ness and stopped talking to each other. they just went to their respective dressing rooms, but the camera was still rolling. i was really shocked when i saw this and was wondering if their friendship was just for the cameras.

however, slowly i began to understand their relationship. close friendship is like that. you have grown so comfortable with each other that you don't see the need to constantly please each other and make unneccessary small talk. infact, it's amazing how much they understand each other even without talking much during their off-screen time. makes me feel :applaud: when i think about the bond of smap. it's a pity that reporters and new fans (like me at that point) do not understand this and misconstrue it as bad blood within the group.

okay back to my question. as i have mentioned earlier, i don't like it that nakai can't sing well!! :bonk: although he makes up for it by having excellent hosting skills. somehow even though i dislike nakai's bad singing, i don't fault goro for being a bad dancer. haha I'M BIASED! because goro looks cute when he dances badly! :mrgreen:

i don't like it whenever kimura throws tantrums on smapxsmap or other shows either. like sometimes how everyone is so genki and he's just mulling around, looking bored, smiling occassionally (what a killer smile though!). does anyone notice that? it doesn't happen frequently though, but i've seen it a few times.

i guess i'll continue the rest of my thoughts after i have heard some of yours!

Should the HATES counted in popularity??? Oh,, I cant make up my mind.. Maybe it should,, coz thatz mean that more ppl know Kimura-kun also.. In some Asian countries,, mostly, ppl tot that Kimura-kun is the leader of SMAP, coz he alwayz talks a lot when he's in SMAP, and normally he's alwayz the first one who make a talk, and Nakai-kun is alwayz at last.. I remember in 2000, when the album <<014>> is release in Taiwan version,, I saw a sticker somewhere, which sticks in front of the album cover.. Saying "SMAP, Japan most popular boyband, who Kimura Takuya, the leader, bringz 11 new songz to their fanz.. He had so many popular dramas like Love Generation, Beautiful Life, etc that makes him as the J-Dorama King.. " something like that...

But Nakai-kun also sayz b4,, the last one who makes a talk, is usually the BEST one.. Haha~~ sasuga leader... :victory:

I don't like to see Goro dancing solo! As much as I love this guy, I always goes, "iehh....give me a break" when I see him dancing solo!! haha!

I love Nakai's dragon voice. You know how people say, "love makes you blind" ? Well in Nakai's case, its "love makes you deaf" :rofl:

But I cannot tolerate Goro's stiff moves :bleh: And, btw, don't you guys think Goro's moves ARE stiff, even though he's not dancing?? I mean, even like when he's turning his head to the right....his shoulders tends to turn along with the head. What's with that? xD lol!

Yup, me too! I think it was up to 1999, he's like that. That's why, he was my goban in my earlier days as a Smappy :sweat:

But ever since he becomes a father, I almost never seen him acting like that anymore. He has grown alot wiser now^^

Its from "Kanno Miho visits Cheetah in Africa" documentary, dated 30 September 2006. The one I've talked about before, the show that made me think Miho is a strong and self-standup girl ^_^
