How could you think that he was a gay when you first saw it yanie :shamefulcry:

I didn't. I already loved Shingo when Bunga captured these pics for me. A KATTUN fan who thought of that and said it to me. Read my post carefully =P

Welcome, Zephyr!!!^^ Kimura has the MOST number of fans indeed. But I have the feeling if he's out from the group, Kimura-ichibans wont stop being SMAP fans, thus SMAP wont lose its popularity at all, not to mention 'drastically' xD I'm sure Kimura-ichibans will become both Kimura Takuya fans AND Smap fans.

When you know the WHOLE SMAP as a group and individually, you'll automatically become a fan of the other four, even if you have a favorite member.

I practically collect ALL FIVE MEMBERS' solo stuffs! Well...I collect most of Shingo solo stuff. But I watch and collect the other members' solo shows too...

Tsuyoshi said when he became Best Jeanist for the 5th time, "I'm very lucky to be a SMAP member, coz people who vote for me are not only my fans, but also Nakai-kun fans, Kimura-kun fans, Goro-chan fans and Shingo fans voted for me too,". Haha....he knows SMAP fans very well^^

But... Frankly, I dislike that question even if its hypothetical, coz Kimura-kun himself never thought of going solo.

I hope you have fun here, Zephyr!!!^0^

hehe i knew the question would be annoying. i thought of this question when i was watching my smap concert dvds and i realised that the uchiwas (handheld fans?) that most of the audience were holding were pretty much...... similar. or when you look at certain forums, some smap members threads have more page views than the general smap thread itself. gosh i know this makes uncomfortable reading for true smap fans :( :( i apologise sincerely in advance.

maybe it's because i'm not that big a smap fan... i like all of them but wouldn't fangirl for all! i guess this is a place for hardcore smap fans so most would tend to disagree with me!

however, in comparison to other JE bands, smap definitely has the most uniformed popularity amongst members. some JE bands are really sad... like when it comes to playing games on variety shows only the more popular members play and the less popular ones just sit at the back and watch.

LOL! You're right, what am I saying... He's ALWAYS going solo! But going with SMAP too, at the same time =P

So those reporters' questions were quite weird then, "Have you ever thought of going solo?". He should've answered that with, "I already am!".

Hehe...sorry, Zephyr... I meant Kimura-kun never thought of leaving the group, himself^^ But as for solo, he has LOTS and LOTS of solo works already anyway.

Yes, you are right. Kimura-kun has the MOST fans. Dont be sorry at all, Zephyr! All you said are very true^^

Yes, there are hardcore Smappies here who had been a fan since 5-10 years ago. But there are also others who are like you, newbies!^^ And you ARE VERY, VERY welcome here!! We're so happy if there are more newbie Smappies joining us!^0^

haha....I was just being honest that I don't like that question, but that DOESN'T MEAN you're not allowed to post something like that next time. You're VERY allowed to do that. I think criticsms about SMAP(as long as its not bashing) are very welcomed here^^

A difference of opinion is common desho? Don't feel sorry just because we disagree with you...haha!

Please post more about your opinions! I'm keen to know opinions from those who are not hardcore Smappies, coz being one, sometimes makes me blind and deaf at the same time...lol!! So, its nice to hear others' opinions who can be more objective about them...heehee....

Feel like celebrating already, even if its only a cheap rumour...lol! Thank you, Elaine!!!^0^

Uhh...nagisa-chan, be strong ne... And it is STILL a rumour reported by HK media, not Japanese xD

yap.. i noticed that too..
but i dont think it applies to SMAP.. every member of smap participate equally in everything they do :)

zephyrscarlet wrote:hello everyone! :D i'm relatively new in the online smap scene but i do watch their shows/concerts and stuff. anyway just wanna add on to the discussion here..

which member do you think is absolutely indispensable to SMAP? in other words, if this particular member drops out, the group would lose its popularitly drastically?

being a kimura fan, i would have to say it's kimura. somehow i think that while smapxsmap will still be able to function without him, smap concerts would flop with his absence. anyway a lot of people got into smap because of him. smap can't reeeaaalllly sing (oh please don't kill me!) and they are not terribly kakkoii so kimura's dorama fans definitely forms a big percentage of initial smap fans. not that i think kimura sings well though...

nakai is just as important. it would be so different without him but i think he has to thank kimura for launching his career in the earlier days. however i don't really like the notion of him being a bad singer and yet being in a band, though i know smap is more of an ENTERTAINMENT group than a singing one. personal opinion :nut:

although goro does seem to be the least favourite member of smap, i like goro's voice alot!!!!!! :good: there was one smapxsmap ending song with ken hirai and i absolutely loved goro in it!! he's definitely the best singer in smap. other than that, i think he is adorable on smapxsmap (he is very self-depracating) but i guess not his real life persona.

tsuyoshi. somehow i am not drawn to him as much as i am to the other members. i think he lacks an x-factor but i have to say his soft-spoken and gentle nature does grow on you. his presence does have a rather calming effect and i love the pairing of him and shingo. there was a utaban episode where they sang a karaoke duet and that was when it hit me how cute they are/look together! his acting is superb! although, as i have said, it still does not draw me into liking him tremendously.

shingo's facial expressions are GENIUS :nut: but why is it that his acting is not that good? (personal opinion!) i love the oishii moments in bistro smap! i like shingo's singing, think it's pretty good although he thinks it's just average. also, i think his idol-worship of kimura is endearing! :P other than that, the absence of shingo would make smap seem older! haha

thank you for your honest opinion =)
we wont kill you!!!!! i must thank you for ur frank opinions :)
im personally a huge huge fan of takuya too! i came to know about SMAP
because of my Takuya
thanks for joining us in our thread!! :victory:
anyways.. introduce yourself?? like where you're from etc..

ongrina82 wrote:Can I ask something?? Is Goro a very flirt guy? I think I read about this somewhere in my local magazine before...but is it true??

Haha, some people say that Goro flirts too much but I think he just understands women really well. He's very in touch with his feminine side and can make friends with girls very easily. Gets along great with women but not so much with men. It's kind of unusual in Japanese society so I think people make too big a deal about it.

It's pretty funny how close Takuya is to Goro considering how different their personalities are. I think Takuya has a very typical Japanese male personality...kind of like Nakai, except maybe not as traditional (?) /conservative (?).

Heh, too tired to type right now....so anyway short answer: In my opinion no.
7 Jan 2007, 17:56 #14498
elaine.. the meaning of flirt is.. erm.. like a male hanging out alot alot with women.. behave indecently.. cant provide ya with the exact meaning =X
u get my explanation..?
7 Jan 2007, 17:58 #14499

Haha, I'll be fine. I know it's not true. Didn't Miho say she wanted to get married when she's 35? Still a few years to go.

I saw her on Tunnels food battle a little while ago. She's seems like a very cute, friendly, nice girl. I like her because she has a very unusual look for a Japanese actress. I still think she's a little too girly for Goro, though :hehe:
