Me is one of those who actually goes for younger Johnny's haha! But then, Kanjani8 are not that young, the oldest are already 25 :) Besides, the reason I love them so much is because they remind me of SMAP, so SMAP still has a say in that! :)

yup.. quite surprising!! but because this year they had focus more than their individual work not as a SMAP grp.. so it wont affect the whole member instead on goro himself...

Hi smap_gal, thanks. This morning I wake up and can't wait too...I call Kino up and reserved anan. The Kino at bugis has run out of anan already so I went Taka Kino just now. The Takuya pics inside are really cool right? I fainted again...I will upload the pics here later ok, Minna-san :)

my favorite younger group is actually arashi. they were my first johnny's group actually. then i went into the older groups, especially smap. besides smap tokio and v6 and kinki kids also interest me. from the newer groups i guess i like the loudness of kanjani 8. i don't really know much about them and i've only seen one show of them, it was a subbed version of their first? appearance on domoto kyoudai but i like their loud and funny character.

I kind of went reverse in terms of debut. SMAP, then v6, Kinki, and Arashi. I've never been able to get into Tokio, though.

Of course no one comes close to SMAP.

Does anyone know how many Bistro SMAP books there are? They haven't released one in awhile right. I know of Green, Blue, Orange, White, White (set of 4). I don't know their actual titles because I can't read the kanji but are there like 6 or 7 of them?

oh i know what you mean! if i had to choose between arashi, my first group ever or smap, i'm sorry but i would send them down the river to keep my smap! gomen arashi. :sweat:

i don't know, but i feel like the older groups have more flavor. i think it's because they weren't picked for their pretty looks (at least not entirely) and they weren't so well groomed in the beginning like the johnny's are these days. it's a bit of a more natural feeling and i guess since they are older they have the aura of a man. iyaaa, smap has turned me into an older man loving nut.

i think maybe arashi is the only group out of the "young" groups that still had a raw feeling when they debuted.

Looks like some knew Kanjani8 through Domoto Kyoudai. Well, I agree that all three newest Johnny's groups are funny when they're with senpais, but as it turns out, NEWS and KT aren't always like that, but Kanjani8 have always, always been hilarious especially in their TV shows. The guys really look like they're on crack ALL the time, and Ryo with K8 is so un-idol-like, coz' the group itself is like that. And who can forget the crack 8 Rangers skit in K8's tours? That itself worth the money to go see their cons. What you see on DK is like only 1/10 of what hilarity K8 can pull off.

See, I'm talking about K8 again. It just that, they're so different from other idols. Just listen to one of their crack songs and you'll know.

But then, I tend to talk about SMAP too whenever I'm around K8's fans! :hehe:

Those are some great photos. Seriously, I've never been that attracted to Takuya but the haircut really did him some good. I think he looks better than he has in years...not that he wasn't good looking to begin with.

yes! that's what attracts me to them i think. their un-idol-likeness and how they seem like they're on crack. it's the same with arashi. have you seen an episode of any of aiba's sugoroku?, gomen i can never remember how to spell hte name of that crack board game he created. let's just say, stockings over the members faces and doing such things as cutting out holes to expose the guy's nipples.

oh gosh, i'm getting off topic again. to make this on topic again, YES KIMURA LOOKS GORGEOUS!! i was literally speechless. my bottom jaw fell open and i felt a little chill go down my spine. i really do love him with short hair. it's what attracted me in the first place. why can't goro ever try a hair do like that. or even, i don't know, a little buzz like nino had a while ago. i wonder if it'll still be curly :hehe:

Haha, I've been thinking about Goro's hair too and why he hasn't changed it at all in the last few years. I think it's getting too thin in the back around the crown. He's not bald but I've seen some shots of him where you can definately see some scalp around the crown. And I know I've seen a SmaSma ending talk when he mentioned how thin his hair was in the back. With short or straight hair it might look like a full blown bald spot.

Man, I'm in a typing mood today...what was the goal for Shingo's b-day.

poor goro, well if you buzz it, it might not necessarily look thin. it might actually look thicker. it just depends on the nature of that spot on his head. i always wanted him to sport something short and fresh sorta like how kimura had his hair for good luck! but i don't know if it'll work on his face. it's a more square than takuya's. i always imagined that if goro shaved his head, it'd be sorta square shaped

Yoko is like that on TV, but can you believe that his best friends (Subaru & Hina, also in K8) have commented that he's pretty quiet off-screen? :hehe: Sounds unbelievable, huh? His best friends are total opposites, for Subaru & Hina, what you see is what you get. :)

Going off-topic again...

I can't wait for Karei-Naru to start! Not only Kimura-kun is in it, the cast overall are awesome as well! :)
