smap = future rolling stones? :hehe: i just crack up every time i see mick jagger jump around on stage at his age. well after they get too old to dance around i'm sure they'll still have their acting and hosting jobs. but they're still considerably young! the oldest is only 33. i think they have at least 20 years left.

You're so right! The oldest ones are only turning 34. And Kimura has only started acting in movies again, he can only gets better! ;)

Hello, just thought I'd give you an update on the Kimtaku ad spotting in Osaka. Last night I was watching a Japanese quiz show (heaps of these in Japan) and I saw a Kimtaku ad! It was for a brand of car - 4WD, but I didn't notice the name. Anyway, just thought I'll give an update.

well, as a celebrities......is hard for the person we like to get together....it doesn't happen...the fans want it but you know it RARELY happen...

though if I was a "love" angel...I would have different tied both Takuya and Yuko legs together with the love thread!!!! :hehe:

However, I feel that it's important to respect our favorite stars, and to cheer for them and their real-life-choice of partner. I mean, do you remember how Kimura-san looked when he announced his wedding? And all that talk about him and his wife, all the name-calling his wife got from the 'devoted' fans, and that unspeakable poll of 'most likely couple to be divorced'... :bleh:
I don't know about you, but put yourself into the shoes of Kimura-san and read your comments. I, for my part, I haven't spent any time with the Kimuras and their family. I don't know if they are happy, if they fight a lot, who does the dishes and if they exchange their cosmetic producs.
All I know is the image presented, a few scenes from SmapxSmap, a couple of magazine articles (they have a saying here - 'Bild sprach zuerst mit den Toten' - roughly translated to 'don't trust any news you haven't forged yourself'.)... But I don't know the real person behind the image. I don't know what really makes my favorite star happy. I have my fantasies, but they are just that - fantasies. That's why, as a fan, I can only keep rooting for Kimura-san's real-life decisions, and as a fan stand behind him no matter what.

Yes, it's great to image two hot stars together, especially if they have a great on-screen chemistry like Kimura-san and Takeuchi-san. Still, that doesn't mean they would really fit together - because sometime the 'great chemistry' just happens because the parts are represented by great actors who are able to make you believe in their performance, even though they can't stand each other in real life. :mrgreen:

That said, just ignore my ramblings. It's something I feel very strongly about, because to me it's part of respecting my favorite star. Since... behind all the glamour and fame, those guys and girls are only human, perhaps even rabid fans themselves. :hehe:

well said and you are not rambling at all. Like you said...fantasies are fantasies and I do know that Kimura is married and I still love him no matter what....cuz I'm a fan... :hehe: and I support him completely with what he wants in life because it is his life that he live and not mine to say!

I know that he is happy and I had read article on how he went against Johnny's rule and get married. Kudo is a very lucky lady, I can tell you that. If Kimura had made the biggest decision in his life then we as a fan, WE STAND BEHIND HIM COMPLETELY....I guess, now that I'm ramblings...but anyway....s

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. :twisted: I don't think I want Kimura acting like Tom AT ALL and I shouldn't make the comparison because I beleive Kimura have much stronger moral fiber than Tom but all means!

Oh goodness, when Kimutaku acts like Tom Crusie, that's when you know the world is coming to an end with fire and brimstone. But I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen. I think Kimutaku is more grounded and has a better sense of reality than the maniac formerly known as Tom Cruise.

just want to get it straight that I like tom cruise in the first place because I'm a fan of Nicole kidman so I learn to love him, just because I adore her...but you know he did cheated on her with that penelope cruz girl and he just walk out of the marriage himself. leaving her all clueless about what happen and then come the TomKat where his true color become much more clearer to me that he is a REAL JERK and a lunatic MANIAC psycho. Anyway, I shouldn't have make that comparision between Kimura Takuya and tom cruise because is like comparing a #1 to a loser...so there you have it...the world will end for me if I see Kimura acting a bit like cruise crazy.... :beatyou:

MissMonika: Thanks, that was the announcement I was referring to. Kimura-san looked so nervous and even scared at one point. I felt really sorry for him that moment.

JennieN: :) It's good to know that I'm not the only one who thinks about married stars that way. I mean, Kimura-san will need all the back-up he can get with his choice of career, and a stable family life does help a lot to recharge those internal batteries. :)

Talking about going against management, I wonder what will happen if SMAP raelly manages to break free from Johnny's. For all I know, that agency pretty much own the market and can dictate who will be in TV shows and such. It will be interesting to see if Johnny's will lose influence after Smap leaves them, or if Smap will suffer the full scale of effect.
IT definitely won't be easy - Smap doesn't even own their own band name, or any rights to their songs. They're kind of like white-collar worker who produce everything for the company they work in.
Of course, the five could just decide on a new band name and start 'fresh'...

(And on a fun-side note: The European Union has a SMAP-program ! It has nothing to do with SMAP, of course, but maybe they'll hire the guys for promoting it? :naughty: )
