Ya, bout 3 and a half years they just performed as a dancer... I tot their first big hit is their 10th single [$10]??? [$10] got a total sales of more than 312,000. Before that, their singles sales are below 250,000.
I think that they become a superstar after Mori left in Apr 1996, singles like Aoi Inazuma, Shake, Dynamite and etc... got a total sales of more than 700,000 and 800,000. Huh? Is it a destiny???
I am not saying that Mori is not good, I like Mori also. Feeling so sad when he left..
Just wish that SMAP 15th anniversary wont like the 10th anniversary. Goro had an incident with a police and makes SMAP 5-1. Many ppl din go 4 their concerts although they had bought a ticket. It makes me really afraid that SMAP will seperate, but luckily they r together again... :dancing:
So let us iwsh that there is no incident for SMAP this year... Ganbatte yo~

More than 3 years, and only in 1993 (or is it 1994?) they got their first big hit with Hey Hey Ookini Maido Ari. And that's like their 12th single!
SMAP really had it rough in their early years. No wonder they got on so strong and solid since then. It's determination, perseverance and hardk work. I wonder if today's groups could maintain that foundation, now that they got everything fairly easy (with the exception of K8 of course).
