I'm lucky enough despite having tons of things to get teased about, it never happened to me. But it infuriates me when other people get made fun of. and the thing is in japan, it's completely different from what people in the states would consider bullying or teasing. In Japan, the level of bullying doesn't involve one other person or even a couple of people beating someone up. It can involve a whole class against one person and not even physical brutality, but more emotional and mental brutality. It can be anywhere from ignoring the person even exists, writing horrible messages like "die!" and other such messages on their desk, and just doing awful things like that everyday.
to me, psychological/emotional abuse can be alot worse than physical abuse.
this might not sound that bad... but honestly put yourself in that situation where everyday you have to go back to a place where no one acknowledges you exist, and those who do only say the worst possible things for you. I don't care how strong a person can be, that can be very traumatizing to almost anyone over a period of time
Thanks for mentioning this!! When I watched this episode...I was thinking, "heee....then the violent bullying in Japanese dramas, are not exagerration??" It actually happens in Japan?
Does other country have this kind of bullying too??
In Indonesia, it is usually a senior-junior thing... You know those pretty coquettish female senpai-s who forms a gang and feel like they're the prettiest and the coolest gang in school... Those type of 3rd graders usually scold the 1st graders who wears tight shirts or short skirts. But its usually between the girls... As for the senior and junior guys...hmm, in some bad schools, the senior would force the junior to give them money. But at least there are some friends who are still on the side of those who got bullied.
And it even shocked me when I know in Japan, the bullying happens between classmates >_< That's horrible. In here, usually classmates gets along the most. And the girl on the phone said, no one sides with her in school. Really, really kawaii souuu... :puppydog:
I think Tsuyoshi done a great job hosting this SxS special show. His voice is really calming nee.... I love how he talks with the bullied girls, giving them advice with a calming voice.
