What do you think are SMAP members biggest talent?

Nakai: Hosting, acting
Takuya: Anything the kid does. Seriously. He's not my #1, but as the other smap members have mentioned before, he can do even the most retarded things and look cool. On top of that, he's just gifted and talented in anything he chooses to do. He and Matsuoka of Tokio are both like that.
Goro chan: Acting, definitely. His singing is okay too.
Tsuyoshi: Acting.
Shingo: Acting, comedy. He can think of things very quickly. His comedic timing is very impressive.

Speaking of Matsuoka from Tokio, I just watched the Ai no Apron New Years Special from this year. They had everyone from Tokio again because they had them on last year for New Years and it was a pretty heated battle.

I've always wondered who would be a better cook, Matsuoka from Tokio or Takuya (or Mori even). Actually, as talented as Takuya is, I think Matsuoka is much more of a professional when it comes to cooking. They were even talking about when Tokio, Smap, and other johnnys members all lived in the Johnnys dorms way back when, Matsuoka would always be cooking new things and feeding his fellow johnnys members lol. He's been cooking since he was five and would even make like obento for his mother daily lol.

Mori, also started cooking young mostly because of his role in the drama, "Tsuyoshi, shikkarishinasai!". That was the first ever drama I watched with any smap member and I didn't even know Mori was in Smap until later. But from what I've seen Mori do, he is also a pretty accomplished chef.

Honestly, one of the best things ever for me is when a guy can cook well.

As for Kudo Shizuka, I was a big big fan of hers in the late 80s and early 90s. She was one of my favorite singers. I still liked her through the 90s and honestly when I heard about her and Takuya my reaction was :shocked: at first I really wasn't sure about their relationship but I still liked both of them and just wished them the best of luck. It seriously was shocking, but even now I still support both of them. Kudo Shizuka is a very talented and beautiful person herself. Her and takuya must have some pretty pretty kids.


As for natto, it is a very acquired taste lol. I grew up eating it since I was little. It's really good if you add an egg and green onions too <33 But yes, I don't even notice the smell but I can definitely see why people would not like it and why people would not even want to try it. It's really great though.

smap is in the top right hand corner with the purple shirts and white vests... I recognize Otokogumi(love them!) and I also see some members of tokio before tokio debuted as a band lol.

I would describe Shingo's illustrations as odd-looking, and not easy to understand. Some of them looked really like a 5 yrs old-drawing, but if you look at it closer, you'll realize it cant be done by a 5 years old. The drawings are really childish. But, as childish as the drawings arec it attracted me, and made me laugh...some are ridiculous and funny. His illustrations are either childish, or rough & messy, or weird-looking, or funny & silly, but some also looks lovely. And I like all the illustrations and the creativity comes from it ^^

Now, my questions are:

1. WHY? Why did Kimura had to say that he still cannot forget Kaorin, but then in 4 months, he's already dating another woman?

2. WHY did he tell Kaorin that he couldn't marry her, because of his job as an idol... But he married Kudo, anyway?? What is it that Kaorin doesn't has, that Kudo has? What makes Kimura refuse to marry Kaorin, but he could marry Kudo? What makes Kaorin different than Kudo?!!

Kaorin had incredible patience to wait for 9 years, without knowing whether the relationship going somewhere or not, coz she MUST have faith in Kimura.... And she didn't like to attract attention when she's dating Kimura....but Kimura had shoot stardom and became a super idol since what...1994?? It means, Kaorin had really being patient for 5 years, even though she took alot of pressure. What more did he want??!

3. IF IT'S TRUE, that Kimura really loved Kudo and had proposed to Kudo in APRIL. Wouldn't that make him a BIG LIAR AND a BIG JERK??!? Just few months ago, he told Kaorin he couldn't marry her because of his job. And he also said he still cannot forget her!

2. WHY did he tell Kaorin that he couldn't marry her, because of his job as an idol... But he married Kudo, anyway?? What is it that Kaorin doesn't has, that Kudo has? What makes Kimura refuse to marry Kaorin, but he could marry Kudo? What makes Kaorin different than Kudo?!! As much as I hate to say it, he married Kudo because she got pregnant. I'm not saying there wasn't love there, but something like that in Japan is a very huge deal. Amuro Namie also married SAM as soon as she got pregnant. As for Kaorin, it's true about him being an idol and it's very hard for him to get married. Especially at that time. Unlike the US and probably other parts of the world, CELEBRITIES ARE TREATED LIKE ROYALTY AND ARE EXPECTED TO ACT A CERTAIN WAY. Anything that could damage their image is a very bad thing. Of course, dating someone is normal but the management agencies don't want that exposed. Idols are expected NOT to be seen with members of the opposite sex(especially if they're younger). It's a very big deal in Japan if some tabloid gets a pic of an idol(male or female) with someone who could possibly be a girlfriend or boyfriend. It really is a different world with celebrities in Japan. I've met alot of American celebrities, but I don't ever expect to meet a Japanese one. In the US it's not uncommon to be able to get your picture with a celebrity. In Japan, it's almost impossible. It is mostlikely that if you met any idol randomly in japan, they would not be very openly friendly sadly.

I realized this the first time I watched Arashi performing....their dancing are SO IN-SYNC and unison!! O_O No wonder their juniors says Arashi is way too disciplined (though I'm not sure why they should complain this good thing....haha, I think I can guess which juniors complain on Arashi being way too disciplined :mrgreen: )

SMAP is not in-sync at all in dancing, ne... :shakehead: They should fix this weakness...

so far it's speculation and I don't think this is a very credible source anyways. I haven't heard anything on the Japanese news bout this at all.

uuum it's now about 1:16 am. I should be in bed because I do have to work at 8:30am I think I might end up passing out sometime in the near future because I've only been averaging about 2 hours of sleep a night for about 2 weeks now. I'd have naps in between but those are only about 2 hours too.

i think that, the japanese boy band..their dance are almost same. :doh: if compare to western..it actually must energetic and it is cool. But smap, i like them dance too.

Basically it says that for the past 2 weeks there have been rumors circulating on the internet that they had gotten married, but Nakai and Johnnys Jimusho confirm that there is no truth to the rumors.

I hope everyone can breathe easy now.

I'm surprised minna pick singing as Goro's best talent. I don't think the same... He's not any better than Shingo now, and definitely not better than Kimura.

This is how I rank SMAP members' singing skill in the early years, up to 2001-2002:

1. Kimura
2. Goro
3. Shingo
4. Tsuyoshi
5. Nakai (seriously, the worst...lol!)


But for now, since about 2002 up till now, I think their skills has gradually changed:

1. Kimura
2. Shingo
3. Goro
4. Nakai
5. Tsuyoshi

Nakai and Shingo improved alot...though Nakai is still below Goro. And Shingo might never surpass Kimura, but he keeps getting closer by day.

Tsuyoshi stays as he is...so it is actually Nakai's effort, I admire.

Unfortunately, I would say Goro's singing skill kinda decrease than before. He tend to sing by pressing his throat too much....he really should fix this. He sings quite well, when he's not using his throat voice too much, actually.

I would say, Goro's best talent is ACTING^^


EDIT: Wait...wait....after I think it over again....Nakai was #4 around 2003-2004. I think in recent times, he's back drop to #5 :sweat:

when mori still in smap, most of the time was mori and kimura sang. hmm..i think mori actually is a good singer...better than goro
