Basically it says that for the past 2 weeks there have been rumors circulating on the internet that they had gotten married, but Nakai and Johnnys Jimusho confirm that there is no truth to the rumors.

I hope everyone can breathe easy now.

Aaaaa.....arigatouuuu, gshock!!!! :glomp:

Oh yeah...Mori always sings in-tune. He could be #1 or at least a tie with Kimura if he's still in SMAP^^

lol yeah i loooove goro chan but yeah... his dancing needs work. What disturbs me is that some of the best dancing I have ever seen him do was in a 1994 skit for Kakushigei with Yume ga MoriMori and he was playing a rival school mates(school mates is a name of a girl dancing group back in the 80s) dancer against moriguchi. They were doing a routine and he was wearing a skirt and honestly i have never seen him dance so well lol... man.

As for singing, I sing myself and these are the things i've noticed: Takuya and Mori are both pretty good singers. I think Goro follows after but basically goro, nakai, shingo and tsuyoshi aren't that great as singers. Tsuyoshi in the late 90's was HORRIBLE. He was tonedeaf(i don't mean that as an insult, he really was). Nakai has like no breathing ability and shingo is pretty good but goes off key alot just like goro chan does too. Also, goro chan sings very nasally.

However, recently SMAP is lipsyncing less even at concerts which makes me happy. On top of that, Tsuyoshi has become a MUCH MUCH MUCH better singer! I'm proud of him. Honestly, I'd prefer they sing completely live even if they don't sound that great. But lately they're getting to the point that they don't flat too much while singing live and that's even better.

welcome :victory:

it's pretty common for rumors like this to pop up in japan and usually it's not true. If a celeb gets married, there usually will be an actual announcement.

Haha, Goro-chan does sing through his nose. I have the same problem when I sing and have no idea how to fix it aside from getting surgery.

For me Shingo has improved the most, although Goro has improved a lot also. Man, watching some of the early SxS can be torture to the ears. You're right though, Shingo and Goro still fall off key very easily. Even Takuya will go off key often enough. Goro-chan's singing used to be my favorite because it sounds so cute but Shingo's is my favorite now. When he's singing very well, his voice is very rich and has lots of volume. Takuya's voice is a little too buzzy for me. Tsuyoshi is only slightly better than Nakai when singing. He just happens to have a nicer, gentler singing voice so people don't give him as hard a time for being a bad singer as they give Nakai. I honestly don't think I've ever heard Nakai or Tsuyoshi stay in tune for an entire song.
10 Feb 2007, 18:22 #18649
Nope,,, Kimura is after Nakai in dancing... :P

Ne~~ I used to called Nakai-kun <<Hiro>> in earlier dayz,,, the first two years.. You know itz weird at the beginning when I first know the names of the members,,, esp Nakai.. Haha~~ A bit funny,,, his name is Nakai MAsahiro,,, then a time when I read a comic magazine in a bookshop,, I see the word NAKAL,, then I mis-read itz NAKAI.. And I really tot that I see Nakai in the magazine... Baka me~~ :bonk: When I see again carefully,,, only I realise that word is NAKAL (Nakal in Malay means naughty) :hehe: Baka... :bonk:

The others I din really feel funny,,, coz I alwayz pay my attention to my dear Nakai only~~~

Nah I don't think Kimura is good at singing. Oh i forgot to add, Nakai is good at dancing too. The best after Kimura.

I realised you call all the SMAP members by their name except Nakai. Shouldn't it be Masahiro   It's a weird name, I feel.

yanie_chan wrote:Nagisa, I've watched Busu SP and Kindaichi. Thanks alot!! :woot:

OMG, Busu SP is so corny isn't it??? I loved the series, but this SP is really bad. And Goro looks sooo reluctant in acting Osamu in this SP!!>_< That must be Goro's worst acting ever...it seems he doesn't has the desire to act this character x)

On the other hand, I like the 4th installment of Kindaichi....the first half is exciting...but it gets lacking towards the end. Love Narimiya Hiroki here!!^0^ And Goro as Kindaichi is still good as ever...I love his partnership with the old policeman^^

But I loved the 3rd installment (Queen Bee) the most^^

BusuKoi SP
Spoiler — click to reveal was 75% recaps from the show. I'm not sure why they decided to make a special if they didn't have time to write new material.
I think they just really rushed into making a special and Goro-chan looked tired. I liked the third Kindaichi also. Most likely because it's the only one I've seen with (bad) English subs. The first one was interesting too but I only understood half of what was going on.

i agree that shingo singing skill getting improve. Especially the song 'moai' he sang with kimura..i like to dead. Shingo only have problem in higher keys...goro, sometimes hardly to sing loud or can said not much energy..heheh, but he still good. Nakai, i luv him sang in 'Show ur smile'..but rap still his best. Tsuyoshi situation also same as goro, not loud and his voice is limitation...gabbatte neh.
Yday, i finally watched finish tsuyoshi drama..he acting skill really deserved to won the best actor!

ok..gtg..bye bye guys

yanie_chan wrote:Nagisa-chan, need a translating advice. Ii desu ka? How should we translate "inaho" in English? I'm translating Shingo's interview in Sakai For Men, and there's this one question where Shingo was asked, "What's the most unforgettable sentence ever been said to you by someone???".

Shingo said, "When I was 13, a taxi driver said to me: Ahh....you're SMAP no Shingo-kun desu neee.... How amazing... you're so young but so popular already. It must be difficult for you. Shingo-kun, inaho ni narinasai!".

Shingo didn't understand what the driver meant, coz he was only 13. But as he grow up and mature...he still can never forget what the driver said to him...and he finally understand what it means. The bigger you become, the lower your head should be. So it means the driver was trying to tell Shingo, no matter how popular and big he become, he shouldn't be arrogant.

I've looked up, but I don't think there's a specific english for "inaho".
(In Indonesian, "inaho" can be easily translated as "padi" ^^)

"Inaho"??? Has something to do with rice? Like a rice stalk...grain? I'm really not sure. I found a Japanese to English dictionary that translates it into "ear of rice"...I guess like an ear of corn. Not surprising that there isn't a direct English translation for it ne. Rice isn't culturally signaficant in English speaking countries.

Ne,, I agree too,, sometimes I feel like Kimura-kun's too over,, he alwayz wanna try to sing in a higher tune,, but you'ld know,, in the concert,, running here and there oredi very tired,, if wanna sing a higher tunes,, then he better moves less,, then he will do it better...

LOL,,, I havent watch any of the American Idols yet,,, :shamefulcry: So I dunno how's their standard...

Ya, ya, he's good at radio hosting,,, everytime I read the translation of WUS,, I feel that itz so fun, funny, and interesting... He looks so alive when it comes to radio hosting,,, While in TV,, he's pretty much silent there,,, I alwayz wonder why,,, maybe bcoz he dun wanna compete with his older brother??? :hehe:

yanie_chan wrote:Yeah... I agree. His singing pitch is un-stable... Sometimes good, sometimes not. If he join American Idol, he won't be able to pass the 1st round x) Makes me wonder...why is there no Japanese Idol show, ne?

Anyway, he better keep on track with acting^^ he's the best at that. Oh, but actually...he's a great, great radio host!!^o^ Though not TV hosting, but he's reeeaaally the best in radio hosting^^

omg lol.

smap is in the top right hand corner with the purple shirts and white vests... I recognize Otokogumi(love them!) and I also see some members of tokio before tokio debuted as a band lol.

Haha, I can't see their faces but judging by how old the photo looks Hikaru Genji and Ninja are probably in the photo too. And the three guys wearing matching suits are Shounentai.

Does anyone have SMAP's appearance from Tokyo Friend Park from 2003? Anyone?
10 Feb 2007, 18:43 #18657
Ya, Shingo alwayz looks so serious,, and sometimes with stress and tired on his face,,, is he afraid he go wrong on the steps??? I alwayz wonder about this,,, :puppydog:

Nakai,, yea,, he's fast,,, but its also my favourite... So Rock,,, :muack: :muack: Kimura,, ha~~ as I alwayz say,,, he's not as good as Nakai,,, but his steps are so sexy,,, :woot:

Sometimes Shingo seems too heavy to dance I like it when Shingo dances because he looks very serious about it. Not like Nakai who fools around a lot. Yes, Nakai over-does it at times and sometimes he dances a beat faster. Kimura sways like a girl.. the way he moves his hips.. but I think it's sexy
10 Feb 2007, 18:46 #18658
For me SMAP has its own unique ways of showing their talents

Masahiro - a bully to Goro,Tsuyoshi & Shingo and the best leader of SMAP
Takuya - an equally bully but the protector of Shingo & Goro. the supporter of SMAP
Goro - a victim but without him SMAP is not complete
Tsuyoshi - a victim too but he is the hidden joker of SMAP
Shingo - the super bully but the clown of SMAP
10 Feb 2007, 18:46 #18659
Coz Masahiro is just too long,,,

qnuy wrote:Haha..i ask the same question to myself many times, but i still don't know why i keep calling him Nakai instead of Masahiro. Maybe it's just the habit. I am use to calling him Nakai. Masahiro sounds weird to me :hehe:

Ha...unfortunately, I think Goro-Miho marriage news might be false too. (I can hear Nagisa's mind saying, "I TOLD YOU!!" )

In Tunnels Food Contest, November 23rd 2006, where Kanno Miho guests, there was this talk...

Taka-san: O-ryouri tokui na no? (you're good in cooking?)
Miho: I can't cook the special ones, but for normal home cooking...I can....
Taka-san: *to the other host* Nanka...joozu sou ne... (seems like she must be really good...)
Miho: Iie, iie... (no, no...)
Taka-san: Ii okusan naru sou ne... (looks like you're gonna be a good wife...)
Miho: Iie, iie...
The other host: Okusan naru go-yotei wa? (how about your plan in being a wife?)

Miho: Ima tokoro wa nain desu... 35 gurai made kekkon dekitai naa to omoimasu... (I don't have any plans for that right now... I'd like to get married at around 35...)

Zannen desu neee....hehe....

There's actually another talk that MIGHT be a reference to Goro :hehe:

Taka-san: What is the ideal type of guy, for the 29 years old Kanno Miho?

Miho: Aah....that... A guy who has American-type of humour, but also like a British guy...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/yanie/tunnelsmiho04.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v203/yanie/tunnelsmiho05.jpg

(laughs)

Miho: Humoa wa wakari-yasuin dakedo...fun'iki ga kou....British...nanka kou chotto...kage ga ari sou na... (though his humour is easy to understand, but the atmosphere is like...a British.... How should I put it...like has this other side of him...)

Taka-san: Demo, kao katachi wa Nihonjin desu yo ne? (but the face is Japanese, right?)

Miho: Gyappu ga aru hito ga ii desu! (I like guys with gap!)

[I'm guessing "GAP" means that the guy has contradicting personalities...or anyone have better definition?]

The other guest: Mita kanji sono mama ja ikenain dayo ne! (seems like a type of guy we can't understand just by seeing him...)

Taka-san: Zenzen nai mo na! Kono on-off ga...
(sorry, don't get this one!)

Miho: Iya, iya...sonna koto nai desu... (no, no...not really like that...)

Taka-san: Ore wa sono mama damon... (I'm the type of person which can be seen just like this...)

The other host: Jibun kage arussu! (a guy who has another face at the back!)

Taka-san: ?????

Haha...I don't know... But do you think they're talking about Goro?? The hosts, Tunnels, knows SMAP very well, and from what I see, the way they talk about it, is like imagining the guy too....
