keepvid.com works fine; it gives options for dl (flv, .mp4, 3GP). :victory:
and yeah, odd that you couldn't install Firefox.
Actually, didn't try to install Firefox just the program. Have heard Firefox mentioned often, not sure what it is exactly, think I have it at work but don't even notice it, first time I've ever had to use it so I was hoping to get around it until I learned more. :bonk: Went to the keepvid site, looks good, :victory: a site like that is what I had used before, thanks to both for putting up with my at times ineptness. :beatyou:

Firefox used to be called Netscape. :)
You can't just run the add-on: you need to install the browser program as well.
I've been trying out Google Chrome these past couple of days, using it as my primary browser. I've really liked it so far. It's faster the Firefox. I've really noticed the speed difference on video site like Hulu and Dramafever. However, I'm not ready to give up Firefox because the add-ons & organization of bookmarks make it better for me. There are also a few minor things that make me choose Firefox.
Trying to join some video files together, but having a problem because one of them has the wrong ending. Person said to rename the file, but when I do it becomes a zip file. Here's the file name:
koisuru madori cd2.avi.002
When I try to change it to 003 or 001 it zips it, should I be naming it something else? It's the third file, the other 2 are:
koisuru madori cd1.avi
koisuru madori cd1.avi.002
Yes, HJsplit, problem was 2 files both have the extension .002, when I try to change the one that had the wrong extension it gets converted to a Zip file, or if I don't rename it just the first 002 file gets joined. :banghead:

Have you tried koisuru madori cd2.avi.002 to
koisuru madori cd1.avi.003?
Logitech keyboard powered by solar rays, indoor lights

Wireless keyboards are incredibly convenient when it comes to tapping away free of constricting USB cables -- until their batteries go dead. But a new solar-powered keyboard from Logitech promises to keep you typing long after traditional batteries have run out.
Available this month for $80, Logitech's K750 Wireless Solar Keyboard looks pretty much like your standard-issue keyboard. It is jet black; boasts a full complement of concave QWERTY keys, numeric keypad and function buttons; and measures just a third of an inch thick.
Just posted this question at the Microsoft forum site, hopefully get an answer soon, :fingerscrossed: don't know if anyone has ever had this problem downloading files, when I click on download file the button is dead, only time this happens is after a Windows update. :usuck:
Lately, when I have been getting windows updates, the new update prevents me from downloading any kind of file from sites such as MediaFire of MegaUpload. What I have been doing is restoring the system to the point before the update, now it's been happening for so long I can't go back far enough. My questions are:
- Is there something that can be done on the computer to enable the file downloading to be enabled again?
- Can I stop the updates from coming in if they're going to keep giving me these kinds of problems? Have been downloading files for years, never had a problem until now, have installed no new programs as of late so it appears as though it's just the Windows updates that's creating the problem.
Any kind of help, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance for any kind of help. My program is Windows Vista, computer is a Compaq Presario CQ50-215NR, not sure of my Internet Explorer version.

Have you tried using another browser like Firefox?

Maybe a security setting or javascript issue? I'm still running XP, but Vista likely has similar options. If you want to stop the auto updates, find the "Security Center" in your control panel and turn off automatic update.
