For my mini ipod, I'm starting to notice that the battery is running out. That really sucks. Is there any way to solve this?

Recharge? :hehe:

Seriously though, you might need to replace the li-on battery. There's a certain amount of recharge cycles the battery has so if you've had it for a while, you might consider getting your old battery replaced before it does any permanent damage to the iPod.

no really, new ipod users are having the same problem, like my bf n my sis, theyre bout to pull their hairs off lol.. but i guess it depends on the generation models, or ure just unlucky

the new iPod photo is rated to last 16 hours
4th gen iPods are rated to last 12 hours
3rd gen and down it's 6hours

there must be another way, just go here: http://www.ipodlounge.com/

well if you use the light a lot then maybe thats wut bring your battery runs out really quickly. but yea my battery goes out pretty fast it sucks and it makes me mad but. i dont know aobut the shuffle do you have 200 songs? (is that how much it holds?) wut if you put all the songs you want and it fills it up and then you have like 7 more cds you want to put in? i would go wit the mini

But think about it. Are you REALLY going to listen to all of those songs when you go out to random places and use your iPod? Realistically, probably not. IMO, that's what huge hard drives are for. We don't have 100GB+ hard drives for nothin'. And that's pretty standard these days. :hehe:

don't forget the shuffle also doubles as a usb drive ^^. But 200 songs really isn't enough for me, my ipod is facilitates the soundtrack to my life. i've got playlists for when i'm happy, driving, sad, walking around on a rainy day, at the beach, etc. i've got one (a shuffle) but i only really use it when i'm running (read as hardly ever), or running quick errands. they're lighter and even easier to carry than the ipods, so for those kind of things they're great.

I own a 4G 20gb iPod myself, the battery is decent, it's just that the battery indicator is unreliable. Especially when you don't listen for like a few days it seems like some of your batterylife is drained. but that goes for any hardware like walkmans/cdplayers, that uses batteries.

I ran a test before: it ran for 15hours straight.

It really helps saving batterylife when you turn off the clicking beeps and backlight. But the biggest batteryconsumer is the EQ: by all means turn this off, when I use EQ my battery runs empty twice as fast. Get a pair of decent earplugs and you're set :)

I was checking out the Ipod 4Gb and the 20Gb at the store the other week. Not sure when i will get one, but i definitely like the Ipod. Any suggestions as far as which one is better. I am concerned with the battery life and how many songs it can hold. any complaints? any good points for each one? I have a 128mb mp3 player when i use while running/gym, but eventually i want something that will hold more than a 1000 songs.

I just got my mini ipod this xmas and i'm starting to worry about it already. I heard getting the battery replaced costs as much as getting a new ipod.

Yup, they (Apple) don't make the battery user-replaceable. I'm sure you can find the battery on the internet, but opening the iPod up would probably void your warranty.
