I didn't mention it, there's a reason why I want SLI: I have a friend that can set me up with two SLI GeForce cards for free. :woot:

If you buy a 64-bit CPU, you should worry: you'll have to fork out the green and get new software to make use of the 64-bit processing...
It's like buying a Porsche and every gas station is selling only diesel fuel....
I also use WinXP. I also have a machine running RH9, one with W2K, and one with Server 2003. (The last three are my crash and burn machines).
I wonder if this thread should be renamed to the General Computing thread (or something similar) since it encompasses more than just operating systems.

Sounds good to me.
I'm using Win2K Pro SP4...
WinXP is a bloated mess... I'll wait until they stop supporting Win2K completelybefore I step into the chicken doo.

I thought XP had some kinda locked license/upgrade thingy to prevent piracy...?

It does... :grumble: but since my school subscribed to the MSDN program, they are able to get as many licenses as necessary for the students. Think of it as a volume license for the school. They dropped that program soon after I left, but I still have my license.
