I don't think so. It's just that on the AnAn cover, he really looked like a girl. A pretty one, no less. :hehe:

Too much make up and lots of photoshop filters.

I was at the Sanseido inside the Mitsuwa today and saw that blonde SMAP guy on the cover of An-An, Shingo-whatever-his-name-is...

Almost puked on the store's floor. :bleh:

Japan needs a severe overhaul on what they consider "beauty" for both men AND women. :shakehead:

I think they're less concerned about beauty and more about magazine sales....

ItLs funny how the definition of beauty in Japan differs a bit from the rest of the world. A good example are ears: EitaLs ears or Itoh MisakiLs, or other models and idols. ItLs an easy surgery to get them fixed as a child but I believe itLs considered cute. I am not even getting into the millions of orthopedically challenging legs ...

Same for haircuts, although generally quite cool, very round faces are even more accentuated with a bowl haircut and bangs.

On the other hand, most Japanese dress so well that I feel like :shamefulcry: here in Europe.

Aren't fashion capitals Paris and Milan in Europe? ;)

Always found it a bit weird too. Almost every kids get their ears fixed at young age, not to mention bucked teeth.

Then you have the other extreme in South Korea...

If that's the case, why is Eita always hiding them behind a weird 'do? :beaten:

... good question. IIRC, he had shorter hair in waterboys and earlier dramas. Do you think someone unsticked his ears while they were doing the pyramid? :beaten:
