Yup, Ryoko Hirosue is the leading lady in this drama. I heard that she did a convincing performance portraying a blind girl who lost her loved ones. I wanna see it myself how she pulls off that performance :)

yeah, i would like to see that one too. :bonk:
News: Ryoko will appear in the special spring drama "ˆ¤‚ÆŽ€‚ð‚݂‚߂Ä" (Romaji: "ai to shi wo mitsume te", English (sort of): "Love and death are watched".
Media: short announcement on the official Ryoko Hirosue website and a Sponichi article.

There is a official Ryoko 2006 calendar. It is out of reach for most people though. :(
The calendar is a strictly limited edition (100 copies) and only available to fanclub members. Just like last year...
Putting out a full size calendar for the masses must still be considered too high a risc by Ryoko's management. :pout:

Awesome! Hopefully someone that runs a fansite will get one and scan/post pics of it for us! Let's all keep our eyes peeled!

100 copies? that's nothing....that's weird....you could probably sell 100 copies on any street corner in tokyo in a couple of hours.

Yeah, 100 copies is so few. I think Ryoko's management played it too safe :shakehead:

100 copies...that's a JOKE! A thousand copies would be considered too few...especially in light of the fact that she's acting again and she just came off "Slow Dance" which did well in the ratings...
100 copies you could stand in front of Shinjuku or Harajuku stations and sell that in no time....

what's with playin' safe? was it because what she did in having a baby/marriage....unexpectly?
they should have just released a regular calendar, what about the rest of her fans like here in the USA. :shakehead: :bonk:

I should have taken your word when you said "rough translation". I had a hard time understanding the grammar of this translation

Yeah, it's not really a translation but it gives you an idea of what it means. It helps if you know something about Japanese grammar though.
It seems that shopping is still a hobby of Ryoko :hehe:
