i just watched it again and this time, my view is more 'accurate'. :sweat:

this is my personal view of the movie.
i think it's probably only worth watching for jun. he adds charisma to the otherwise 'grueling' storyline.
somehow junichi did not impress me much in this. i dun feel that he's the key role in this movie coz jun just steals the show.

call me a staunch believer of jun or what, but i think that if jun were to take on junichi's role, it would be more memorable. somehow junichi should try less to 'suck in/implode' his act (he seems to be the only one to feel his own hurt/emotions?) not sure if i'm articulating this clearly but that's how i feel... whereas jun 'exuberates/explodes' his roles? that's what makes his acting impactful and natural at the same time i guess.
and ya, someone earlier made a comment that junichi only got 1 expression in the movie, i second that opinion. it's that gloomy 'eye-bag' look. :grumble: and he should try to 'act' less.
i mean learn something from jun's quiet sawada shin - u dun have to move much just show more from the eyes. we dun call them the windows of the soul for nothin.

jun is really cute but he's got to put on more weight! and he's prettier than all his female counterparts :sweat:
i guess his androgyny contributes to his x factor. i just can't help but watch out for him above all the other cast. i'm not sure if it's the low video quality or what, but there was one part where i mistook him for a girl totally (he was sleeping on the bed and the phone woke him up) :sweat:
hmm... he should work harder on eating more la.

Ah, these people are actors for musicals. Anime onstage performances or something along this line. Example: Bleach Myu, Hunterxhunter myus, Tenipuri myus, and the lot. And i might add, they are HOT HOT HOT guys! I'm not really into musicals myself either. I'll download them but i won't watch them. Unless i get really really bored then maybe i will watch a bit...I haven't seen any sailormoon myus and i don't think i would want to. sorry, i love HunterXHunter ^_^ its one of my favorite animes and mangas...even if the musicals make me cry in pain, i know i will love it ^_^

the sera miyus (sailormoon musicals) are....*twitch twitch* well, they were the background music to a very bad part of my life...i had some friends, who turned out to be not actually friends, that worshipped those things...they watched the shows allllllllll the time...made the costumes...sung the songs at conventions....it was enough to make you puke.

i'm not a big Tenipuri fan...about the only thing that would make me watch anything Tenipuri-related would be if they put arashi in it...but i would still find it painful...plus i would then hafta kill any yaoi fangirl that would try to pair any of the guys together...

PoT is not actually yaoi. It's the yaoi fangirls that makes it yaoi. But pot is definitely one anime that i won't recommend you to +get into, unless u like chasing their still on-going countless release of albums, singles, rajipuri and the lot. Look at me. I've chased pot for 3 years and i'm really tired. But i don't like to collect things and stop halfway. PoT is good for crack but it's not the best anime i've seen. In fact, the last episode's just >_<....I have no way to describe it except that the animators have ONE HELL of a imagination...>_>;;;

Anyways, the HxH myu 2 is fairly large. DVD quality of course. 1GB each. I still need to check if i have the 1st as i'm in uni now at the moment. Will PM you the links once i get them uploaded. i know PoT isn't yaoi...but it is as good as yaoi, in my opinion...it has been a long time since i have been completely unable to separate the show from the fangirls...i'm not into tennis or angsty boys so i never really made it far into the show....and the fangirls made it impossible to look favorably on it again...

and i'll love you forever for those HxH musicals ^_^ i have seriously been looking for those for YEARS....a friend of mine found one for rent in LA but she went back to rerent it to copy it for me and it was gone...

I don't think Johnny's have an official magazine. Wink Up, Potato, Popolo, Duet, and Myojo are all idol magazines. They focus primarily on Johnny's guys but they have other idols like Oguri Shun and Narimiya Hiroki, etc in their magazines. Out of the 5 magazines, Duet would probably be the one I recommend the most. I like A LOT of the themes and photoshoots&articles in there. I think the most well known or popular would be Wink Up, I like their pictures too.

the bart doesn't go near japan town...take the bart to...crap...err...CRAP...um...the civic center station...then across the street (i think its on 7th street) take the number 10 bus (Golden Gate Transit, not MUNI)....it goes right down Geary next to the japantown mall...you can't miss it...watch for the Miyako hotel

its one of the buses i used to take to work in the mornings...so i know it pretty well..i just can't remember where the bart station was exactly because i only took it a few times to go to the airport...i lived in Point Richmond so it was easier to just take GoldenGate Transit buses to get to japantown.

Just wondering: how much do these idol magazines cost in the US? Cuz they're really expensive in Canada (I don't know if it's just the bookstore I go to that's expensive or Canada in general). Really, if I do a straight conversion, Duet (570 yen) should only be $5.75 Canadian. I know there's shipping and what-not but I think I paid about $13 before tax for it (plus tax in Ontario is another 15%).

Another question: is Potato not as popular as the other idol magazines? I'm just wondering because the japanese bookstore near me seems to have all kinds of idol magazines but not Potato.

conversion rates suck everywhere...the kinokuniyas are really the only place i have found that doesn't jack up the prices of stuff too insanely high (tho they do still jack up prices...i haven't found a single place that does straight yen/dollar rates)

be glad they aren't as high where you are for some things....at the Borders books near my house, they now sell japanese manga...untranslated i mean, the actual books they have in japan....for a book that costs 270yen they charge $12.99...thats without tax....its cheaper to buy a book online and pay the shipping

once i finally get a steady job, i think i'm gonna get subscriptions to some of the magazines

well... they cost a bomb anywhere outside of japan. either you splurge and buy it or don't. or get the cheaper back issues. or go to japan.
probably japanese thinks the same for US magazines like i.d. or wallpaper.
i'm worse off, i buy/love both us/european and japanese magazines!
