i think jun will look nice with a goatee, provided he grows his hair longer like one of the pics i posted earlier. not so sure if it fits ohno as well:

i'm not a big fan of facial hair on guys (tho my dad looks positively bizarre without his mustashe and beard...)

Ohno just looks strange with the beginnings of his goatee...i'm glad he didn't go for it...

i worry that Jun would just start to look scuzzy...then again...i think most anyone looks scuzzy with a goatee...unless they are a villian in an old cartoon or something...

fybabe, is that the first part of the 03-04 countdown that you posted?

the thing is, i dun mind jun of all the 5 boys looking 'scuzzy'/rugged. i would rather he get a more 'man-nish' look than a 'girlish' look sometimes...
and eat more...

they all look plenty "man-ish" to me...even nino is looking a bit older (he now looks 18 instead of 15)

scuzzy wouldn't make them look more manly...its possible to look like a 12 yr old even if you have facial hair...facial hair has nothing to do with looking more masculine

Yeah I think Jun and Ohno look kinda weird with just the start of facial hair. Maybe it's because I'm so used to seeing them cleancut that's why I'm not used to seeing facial hair on them ... well it's different with them wearing glasses though, whoops getting off topic lol. I don't think I can EVER imagine Nino with facial hair. He's just got that young look, he still looks like a seventeen-year-old!

@battlegirlai -- Thanks for the instructions to get to japan town. I didn't know ANYTHING on how to get there. I think I'll go to Kinokuniya when Arashi's photobook comes out...see if I could get it there cheaper than opposed to paying twice the amount of the original price at yesasia.

dood, if you are gonna do that...the best thing in the world to do is to go to Kinokuniya and have them preorder the book for you. it doesn't cost any extra and they will make sure to get one in for you. take the isbn number that you can probably find on yesasia or cdjapan and have them order you a copy. they will call you when it comes in and everything.

heck, thats a really good idea for me too...i'll have a friend of mine hit the kino and reserve me a copy...she owes me money anyway

I guess you guys are right. It makes sense considering American magazine prices are jacked up for Canadians (though not by a whole lot). I'm glad that I have a japanese bookstore near me though. I searched through some chinese stores (since these are MUCH more common where I live) and they are a few dollars more expensive. And you're right, fybabe, it's either splurge or don't....and I chose to splurge (ah...splurging that I can't afford, sigh). But I'm very happy with my purchases! I must say, I felt so out of place there because everyone around me was speaking Japanese and I couldn't understand anyone (I must have stood out like a sore thumb).

And the bookstore has video rentals! I wonder if they have Yankee Bokou ni Kaeru or Tokio...should I ask or no? Ah, I'd be so embarassed to ask since it's obvious I don't really understand Japanese and yet I want to watch these?

On another note, imagine my surprise when I found Arashi CDs in the Chinese mall near my house but, my goodness, are they expensive! I'm considering buying them, just so that I actually have an Arashi CD, but agh....price...agh!

I must have tried at least 10 times trying to download it, and each time it just cuts off in the midst of downloading it :crazy:

By the way, as for the arashi no wazaari on 17th July 2004, i am still in the midst of uploading it. This episode is longer than the usual one so there is actually 11 files to upload....so please wait ok?

As for Ohno goatee, I found it very... cute... See Mago-Mago 2005-04-23! It doesn't seems dirty or strange! I might prefer when he doensn't wear a goatee, though, but it's not disturbing at all... ^_^ :smitten:
I don't really like it on Jun... I may be the only one who think that but I think that Jun has a kind of face so thin and so delicate that he shouldn't get into styles too much... I mean, when he's trying to get a style, no matter which, he can quickly become a way too distinguished. I don't know if I explain it well... :sweat: An example of what I think it's too distinguished.

For the best magazine, to me it's Potato. It always shows very good pics, I love most of them cause they are beautiful, original, classy, nice colours and nice light. Duet is my second fav; they are more and more skilled with taking Arashi photoshoots! ;)

Kind of frighting to know that at each page there will be people asking for how to use the splitted files... XD It can't be helped, we can't stick that somewhere... ^_^;

not sure what you mean by that picture making him look more distinguished...by the curly hair you mean? not really...aiba has had his fluffy hair phase...sho had his frizzy phase (tho i'm not sure it was intentional)....Ohno had his spikey blonde hair phase...and Nino had his frizzy light brown hair phase too...Jun's hair has probably changed more than any of the others, but its not so shocking considering that most of them changed their hair for drama/stage roles...

i just don't think the goatee look suits Ohno...makes him look too...i'm not sure...just...strange...thats the only word i can think of at the moment...

but i do agree about Jun...his face isn't the right shape for it even if i did like goatees
