Ehm...if I said that Canada was cooler than the States I'd be lying! The only cool places I know are T.O. You're lucky that you live there! I lOVE big cities like London, New York, Tokyo, Paris, etc. I'm also obsessed with accents, particularly Australian! I have always wanted to go there to see the kangaroos! And other animals you cannot see anywhere else in the world like koalas and such. So cute!

Ahaha...sorry to get off-topic again! I think you asked about the ONE CD of Arashi, whether it will be sold in P-Mall or no. Well, I am going there this weekend with a friend (either Friday or Saturday) so of course I will tell you what I see, and the prices, etc. Really hope to find lots of Arashi things, but probably in vain! :fingerscrossed: If you can come to Markham without any trouble, you should do so. Pacific Mall is definitely worth checking out. I wanna buy the ONE CD as well!

Another thing. Does anyone in the GTA know where to buy magazines that focus on the Juniors, like Arashi? For example, MYOJO, POPOLO, WINK UP?

Thanks!

In fact, my whole family is, even my parents (no, it's not inbreeding). But I think we consider ourselves more Cambodian than anything else. Don't know a lick of Chinese.

I live in the US closer to the Mexico border, so I don't really know the hardships you Canadians go through to get your Jstuffs :patpat: (I live in Little Saigon, so I have Vietnamese and other Asian stuff around all the time). Although it does seem like you guys are outnumbering us on the board.... maybe there will be a JEntertainment boom in Canada?

XD waa a CAMBODIAM+CHINESE ahaha...I consider my family more Cambodian tooh but in "moments" my gramma talks chinese to me im like "waa...?" but I know some Chinese...jest not the stuff my gramma's saying XDD I took chinese school i was forced by my dad...he's chinese I didn't like it at all and I hated SOH much when ppl come up to me and say "Soh yeur chinese? or "are yeu chinese?" it's bcus whenever some other ppl think that ALL azn's are chinese...i guess its the most common or something..it makes me mad bcus ppl say "Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Cambodian...WHATS THE DIFF?" WELL THERE IS A DIFFERENCE YEU STUPID PPL! (ok sorry bcus i feel offended when ppl say they're all the SAME when tehy're NOT) Like different FOOD and the way of the whole damn CULTURE!!! :cursing:

hey this is a litte bit off topic but I was wondering... do yeu guys know a girl who's Cambodian but she from Japan and she sings both cambodian and japanese...do yeu guys know her name? she came to ottawa but I didnt get a chance to see her bcus i didnt go to her party/concert..
&&&& did mika nakashima went to toronto to sing at an anime convention before..? i heard this..

oh you are so right. i love AND prefer canada and everything. but the US DOES have some cooler places. i really wanna go to New York and Cali for their fashion schools. and i LOVE the huge cities like you too. paris, NY, toyko and such. what can i say. i'm totally a city girl now. tho. i really really don't like toronto for some reason. my friends hate me for that. heheee. and i love koalas too

you really won't find much in p-mall for arashi things. the japanese artists they usually have are ayumi hamasaki, kinky kids, V6, smap, namie something (dunno the name), and other really big artists. but not much arashi. if you want magazines, i suggest j-town. they'll have magazines for you. it's KINDA close to p-mall. i don't know what street it's on. sorry. it's a reeeeeeeally small store. i used to pass it every week and i NEVER knew it was there till i went there with my friends. but yes yes. they have popolo, myojo and others with other j-bands and juniors.

Woah, fellow Canadians! Let's bond over our lack of Arashi stuff!

Ok...I've got a lot to reply to so please bear with me

Arashilove
Ok...this is gonna be long.

First Markham Place: 3255 Highway 7 East
http://www.first-markham-place.com/
The easiest way of getting there would be to take the subway to Finch Station and then catching a Highway 7 bus (York Region Transit, Route 1). That way there's no need to transfer. You can ask your bus driver to let you know when you are close to FMP or you can look out for Woodbine Ave. That would be the last big intersection before you reach FMP. FMP doesn't have idol mags but you can search around for doramas and CDs. I've seen DVD doramas for $40 and VCD one's for $10.

If you are going to P-Mall afterwards, you can catch the Highway 7 bus going East (same direction you would have been travelling from Finch Station), grab a transfer from the bus driver and transfer onto the Kennedy bus running south. If you're doing it the other way around, just flip the instructions. If you've past Steeles Ave, then you've gone too far but there's no chance you'd miss seeing P-Mall.

J-Town: 3160 Steeles Ave. E., Unit 6-11
http://www.japantown.ca/
J-Town sells idol magazines, plus some CD singles (you hafta search really hard though), and they have dorama video rentals. They stock Myojo, Popolo, Wink-Up and Duet. They don't stock Potato though.

It's ridiculously easy to get here from P-Mall. Just grab a westbound TTC bus on Steeles Ave. Once you've passed Esna Park Road, you're close to J-Town. It's across the street from the Siemens (Siebel?) office building.

Um...that's it. If you want directions to the places in downtown Toronto, I can provide those too but I doubt you can fit trips to Markham and Toronto in one day, LOL.

Blood types!
Ok...want to know your blood type? Ok...ready? 1, 2, 3 whip out your health cards! Yay!

Your blood type information is printed on your OHIP card.

Actually, I don't know if they have that information on the new OHIP card (the green one with your picture) but I would assume so since it has more info than the old red and white one.

If you have the old red and white OHIP card (like me), you can find your blood type info on the bottom right corner.

I'm blood type B, yay for me!

Jun's gotta be careful when he has children. Since he's rhesus negative, he was antibodies against the rhesus antigen. Which means that there's a possibility that the antibodies can pass through the umbellical cord to the mother and make her sick.

Toronto
Right...I didn't want to post three times in a row so I'll just continue here.

I love living in or near Toronto! I guess it's cuz I've been here my whole life and don't know what it's like to live anywhere else in Canada. Apparently, Torontonians are stuck-up, arrogant snobs? LOL, there's a reason they call it Hogtown! The advantage of living in a relatively large city is the excitement you have! Caribana this weekend was awesome! And come on, you have the Taste of the Danforth next weekend!

But I like living in Markham. You've got the small-town quietness of a suburb but if you're craving some excitement, downtown Toronto is only 20 minutes away. I love living 5 minutes from farms and forest. Strawberry picking, yay!
1 Aug 2005, 12:13 #4766
LOL, perhaps I got it mixed up. It's only dangerous when the mother is rhesus negative right? I'm pretty sure in that case, there's a chance that the antibodies in her would try to attack the baby. Of course, there's a way to stop this and have a healthy baby but it's been a couple years already since I learned this stuff and I don't remember it.

Hello everyone new and regular,

much as i am 'facinated' with the discussions on blood types and directions to places, i need to remind u that is THE ARASHI thread. please keep to the topic on hand.

you can share your love for ARASHI here. we would love to have all sorts of discussions about the guys in ARASHI. so keep that in mind.

to let you know i have already uploaded the latest Mago Mago Arashi (20050730) to my clubbox for those of you who could download the files from there.

please do not be offended for my blunt words.

Hi minna...!!!

yesterday i told u bout the ohno's rain translation. well, i got it from another forum, so i won't take full credit for it. but since the original translation kinda has a bit of blank spaces here and there, i did a bit of the translating myself(like for only 0.3% of it, very small bit)... sorry guys, i'm no pro in japanese... so sorry if there's any "oppsie-daisie" (i can betcha on this...) in the translation, ok? anyways, if there's anyone who can come up with a better translation... the stage is all yours... so here it is... tell me d'ya think, minna-san? the song, i mean...

RAIN translation

I hear the sound of rain,
your voice disappeared,
away from the phone,
whom are you with?
hiding your secret...
you tell me that you love me...

put your lips over mine,
and drew me near you,

HEY NOW, I DON'T WANNA GIVE UP,
THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING,
your scent is my guide,
BABY, WHY DfYOU GONNA GIVE UP,
THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING,
I start running alone with dangerous eyes...

Squeal of silencec reaches me after the rain,
the sound of glass breaking,
where are you now?
will you come to me if I wait?
I search in my pocket for a dangerous thing,
(All I need is love, just waiting for, you understand?)

HEY NOW, I DON'T WANNA GIVE UP,
THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING,
your signal is my guide,
BABY WHY DfYOU GONNA GIVE UP,
THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING,
I start running to the other side...

red stain on the glass,
leaving piercing pain in my heart,
Yeah...
THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING,
this is not a game,
THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING,
you didn't love anybody,
(THIS IS THE START)
THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING,
it won't reach u...
(THIS IS THE BEGINNING, THIS IS THE BEGINNING, THIS IS THE START)

HEY NOW, I DON'T WANNA GIVE UP,
THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING,
your scent is my guide,
BABY, WHY DfYOU GONNA GIVE UP,
THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING,
I start running alone with dangerous eyes...

(P/S: hey, i'm not sure bout the part "BABY, WHY DfYOU GONNA GIVE UP" tho. i don't have the actual kanji or romaji lyric, so i just used my ear... that's the nearest i could come with, the original translation is a bit different for this part)

oh my gosh... i can feel my cheek's burning. it's okay when u're reading your translation on your own, but to share with perhaps much better japanese users... unreal!!! :bleh:

sorry sorry for the off-topicness. anyone who wants the ONE cd, i saw it on Jpop, but it's not available for d/l yet. atleast that's what it was like the last time i checked.
i'm not so thrilled about the whole overture thing. even tho i've never heard it, i've never been so crazy about their instrumental stuff. and i kinda like the lyrics to ohno's "rain" it's kinda more grown up for him, i find. it's nice.
and from what i've read, nino's solo wasn't written by him. which is kinda sad! i prefer when artists write their own lyrics. but meh. what can ya do

I AGREE! :bleh: it's pretty intimidating but it's all in fandom..every one makes mistakes especially with translation, as there are so many ways to interpret words, and you can never be sure how it was meant to be conveyed unless you talked to the original author, and asked him/her their vision of the song....

THANKS for the translation!!!! :applaud: I havent listened to this song much, but it is good....

arigatou for your encouragement. i'm trying to translate "Blue" and "Paretto" since it's my fave ballads, it's a pity i didn't wrote what my twin and i translated in the car. we were just killing time... btw, my twin's japanese and hearing are much better than me, heheh... so now that i'm alone... it won't be easy... hmmm, i don't even think i have the time, tho... warghhh...
