I read that exact same excert from a site a long time ago. Yes, I know, it must be tough to be a Junior. They have a lot to go through and cannot live their lives as normal people. The Japanese entertainment industry is indeed different than any other in the world. Sho is smart, though, so I'm pretty sure he will become successful even after he retires.
Well, I never notice about their hand or nail or fingers or anything :bonk: . I just know that Shou has a muscle, I quite don't like the guy who have much muscle...I'm so strange :crazy: . And Nino's hand, I also don't look that. Well, I try to look once.
I really don't know about paying. I think they got paying more and quite a lot but they're not rich. Perhaps, they always save their money for their future. So let do their work the best.
And I also think they have a permission from their guardians, if they're under 18. I found when I read a japanese comics.

But somehow jun's perf this time was different... it was 'westernised'? i think it was kind of shocking in the con also because it didn't sort of 'fit in' with the other routines... u gotta watch it first really. i can assure you it's not kawaii at all, unless you describe a dance routine by say, usher, to be kawaii... :sweat: i think the sexiness also comes from having interactions with a female dancer. and whether jun is sexy or not in reality, well, all i can say is he's a very good actor...
i guessed that Johnny's wouldnt be paid much, esp at first becasue of all the dues they probably owe the company for training (grooming, public speaking, dance, singing, acting, gymnastics, skating), travel, exposure, contacts, etc...etc...
But I'm assuming that the movie, advertising and dorama's would balance it out and they'd it up getting paid, I'm sure ALOT more than a salaryman.

And about the wages and difficulties of entertainment bussiness in Japan... ILm sure is hard, but like someone a few posts before said, they are so lucky because they do something they like, at least most of them like that, right??? I guess everybody who has worked before knows that any job has its good and bad things and all are exhausting when you have to do your best, so ILm really happy for our Arashi (and other Johnnys, of course) boys Lcause they can enjoy their jobs and they have the love and support of thousands of fans.

and i heard from my friend what the johnny artists don't get much money cause johnny takes most of it?? that's how he's so rich. the guys do so much work, but they don't get nearly enough money. supposedly tho, kinky kids make the most, if my memory's right. there was a chart showing the top tax payers from johnny's, and arashi wasn't even on the chart cause they don't make as much as the other johnny's artists do. since the more you make, the more tax you have to pay.

I really think it's unfair for them. They are working hard and a lot of work to do. They'd get a pay more for thier concert or somehow ne. I believed that they're so tired but they have a fun with their job and do their best, right?

Mostly, all record, talent agencies or whatnot get a fairly large percentage of artists' earnings, but I dont think that they have it any worse than anyone else, given the fact that they are more or less surely going to be thrust into stardom..pluss it's probably expensive for Mr. Johnny to "care for" all those juniors before they debut...trips overseas, song writing, musiscians, grooming, traing, and all the other priveledges they get before even becoming famous...
Other record companies call this paying your dues and most artists, even Western, dont see hardly any money off their first cd or so, due to it having to be paid out to all the people who got them in the position to even put out a cd...
But by know, I'd think Arashi had paid their dues enough to be enjoying pretty fat checks!
Um, I just couldn't help noticing how everyone was referring to the owner of Johnny's Jimusho, Johnny Kitagawa, as if he were alive. I would like to correct that assumption. Actually, he is DEAD! He died a few years back from a heart attack or something. Currently, his younger sister Mary Kitagawa is the owner of Johnny's Jimusho. Just thought you'd all like to know!
Oh I think our stormy guys enjoy theirs lives as much as it is possible!
Their job is something marvellous, thanks to it they already had more fun and highly emotional moments than in a whole normal life!I think I would really enjoy that kind of life.
And they may had painful moments more than in a normal life too... But when I see their face during concerts, I don't think they regret anything, no matter how much they're getting paid.
The most painful might be the popularity... I can't even imagine how you can feel if you're so well known that everytime you walk in the street ppl recognize you and look at you... O_o

Is he dead, I didnt think so, I knew Mary Kitagawa took over when he stepped down as pres, hmmm but dead, gotta look that one up...

Erm...as I'm aware of it, Johnny Kitagawa sure is old but not dead. Actually, I think he was just at one of Arashi's recent concerts.
