The way i remember the manga, Doumyouji was the biggest and most violent of the F4. So I wonder if Jun really fit the physical description. As for the hair, I am hoping they'll be faithful to the manga - caterpillar hairstyle. The Taiwan ver tried to do so: my nick for that Doumyoji was pineapple head.

Anyway I enjoyed the manga quite a bit. Jun have often played manga characters with good results so here i am hoping he will pull it off again

it will be totally cool watching Jun playing an angst ridden character...
Jun can be KOWAII when his mad...very interesting casting for this dorama considering Oguri Shun will be playing the introvert Rui.
This would be a challange for Jun, coz the character is quite complicated..
But i believe, Jun will be able to play the part well :victory:

err.... kinda remember shun is a few inch taller than jun, how come jun got the role of doumyouji ... hope their height will not be that obvious in the new drama.... anyway, the manga looks like a saga to me seeing how many volumes hana yori got, that's why i didnt bought any of it.. but i got some in margaret manga magazine.... gonna reread it and maybe jun will fit in any of doumyoji description ...

acutually, this is just the impression i got from the taiwanese version MG. since so many of you think the original manga/anime is great. so hopefully the japanese script sticks to the original storyline and not what i've seen from MG.

MG left me a sucks impression not only from the long winded empty plot, but also the bad acting from the 'shampoo-advert' talents.

jun is already gonna improve it tremendously with his acting i guess. which leaves the plot to... get a plot ie.

Hope that Sho will make a good pref in Honey and Clover; I stopped reading the manga after the first 3 chapters, have to re-read it! Since I came to like Arashi 2-3 months ago I hardly ever watched anime or read manga...miss that a little, the stormy boys are just too active *g*

For those who didn't read the manga, I can only advice you to read it. I began this manga in the french version but I couldn't wait each 2 months to have the continuation so I downloaded all the volumes in english (36 volumes). This manga is really my favorite, contrary to other shojo manga, there isn't any "innocent" heroin, who think the world is wonderful, full of flowers, and that people are all nice ! Tsukushi Makino, the heroin, has a very strong personality and don't let anyone make her down.
In this manga, we see what people call "ijime" and the importance of money in this world.
Moreover is good to add that HYD was ranked in Japan among the 10 manga the most outstanding (don't sure of this word).

I also saw the taiwanese drama and don't make your opinion about the story based on that because it's so far from Kamio sensei work which is great. :sweat:

Ok return to Arashi : are you sure that Jun will play Doumyoji ?
I'm also really happy to see again Jun and Oguri together in a drama. :woot:

Catterpillar hair - that how Tsukushi describe Doumyouji's hair. Imagine fat short curly caterpillars :rofl: . You probably shoot the director if he really insisted on that hairstyle
Anyway the HYD storyline is quite good. It is full of angst on the heroine part, just like MG. But never mind, we'll be concentrating on Jun who is more straightforward. Also i note this is one episode Jun won't be playing a character that not chockful of talent like Momo, Kindaichi or Shin

I can't type with excitement... NEW JUN DORAMA!!! and Oguri Shun too who I also love!!! I just started reading Hana Yori Dango and really like it! Sounds like the Taiwanese version was lame, will steer clear of that... Of course Jun will make anything he's in brilliant, and Shun too. So Jun is playing the mean one, with the funny hair????? whaaaat? I would have thought Shun would... he's the funny hair guy... or am I confused? Only read one volume! That's true, I didn't think about it. In fact, Doumyoji is even quite stupid sometimes, especially when he's using a wrong word, his friends are so like this smiley :sweat: .

So the main actress will be Inoue Mao. I don't know her, I hope her acting is good since she will be the main character.
