Now I need more :shamefulcry: Can anyone recommend something similiar to Unfair?

Watch the Unfair SP (Special Episode) that came out after the drama...

I might aswell do that though I heard the SP wasn't anything special.
I was thinking about a whole new series with similiar story. Any suggestions? :dancing:

If you like the Police/crime genre you might enjoy Odoru Daisousasen...it has quite a few comic moments in addition to the typical police/crime drama. Probably one of the most highly acclaimed dramas, and at the top of that particular genre.

No problem, you're welcome. I think you'll like it...it was actually one of most highly rated dramas on Japanese television. Enjoy it. :)

The SP subs just came out a few weeks ago. Not QC'ed yet though so they had a lot of typos and spelling mistakes.

For stuff similar to Unfair, I'd also recommend the SP and the movie. Also, some other cop shows I've seen:

-Gonzo- Awesome show. Really focuses on one case.

-Odoru Daisousasen- Not as serious, focuses a lot on the characters moreso than the hardcore stuff of Unfair. The two movies are also good.

-Koshonin- Stars another Ryoko. It was decent, but not as good as Unfair.

-SP- The action scenes were a lot better than the story.

-PS Rashoumon- Sort of like Odoru Daisousasen. Not bad.

-Keizoku- Starts out like a normal cop show and then turns out to be totally crazy stuff. Also has an SP and a movie.

-Kasouken no Onna- There's a few seasons of this. This is more about the crime lab people than the cops.

^ Awesome list. :D

Another good one is Kirakira Hikaru, which is on the medical side, but there's also the police aspect.

Another good mystery / detective drama to see is the Koori no Hana SP. There are two parts and it just got released a few weeks ago, starring Yonekura Ryoko. Not a cop show per se, but it does involve the detective and his partner investigating a murder. Subs and raws available at DA.

One of our patients is interested in a romantic comedy type of drama. This person has never seen a Japanese drama, only Korean ones. It's quite amusing since this person is male (his wife and daughter made him start watching Kdramas and he likes it) and when I told him that I enjoy Jdramas better he got curious because it amused him that Jdramas are less innocent than Kdramas when it comes to the romantic aspect.

Any ideas for a good recent (within the past 5 years or so) rom/com that men and women can enjoy? I'm only asking for recent dramas since the picture quality would probably be better than older ones.

I think you should trick him and burn him a few Arashi concerts on video.

Um, the old standby would be Kekkon dekinai otoko. I believe Muri na renai is a romantic comedy also, although I haven't seen it. (The fact that Natsukawa Yui is in both is just coincidence ;) )

I would recommend Gal Cir...because then he can learn how to dance Para Para style as well...

Edit: Bullsh*t aside...I'd say Kekkon Dekinai as well or even Utahime...

I was thinking Kekkon Dekinai, but I was hoping for some other recs that I couldnt' think of. And I think I'll watch Muri na Ren'ai before making him a copy just in case. Thanks!

I still haven't watched Utahime yet. I really should catch up on all the popular stuff before I tackle the unknown/rare stuff.. Thanks!

:)
So you have seen one?

OT: They manage to recruit a lot of male fans nowadays. Its wonderful reading fans-translations of Japanese blogs by grown fan-men (some with families) writing about watching Arashi shows and making detailed analysis on how and why they like them. One even got a book published.

sadacori, try Hana Yori Dango. Start from the most popular since it is afterall to entertain and intrigue him.
