I've hardsubbed this, but haven't gotten around to seeing it yet...

From Korean dramas to HYD? I'm not sure if they'd go for that, but thanks for your suggestion.

Ditto that. At least now I'm done with Mop Girl, so I'll watch Muri na Ren'ai to see if I'd recommend it to them. :D

From what I have seen of Muri na Renai, it's more for the older, adult crowd than the typical, tired high school crowd...

Since the people I'm making a copy for are in their 50's, they might be interested in this. Or maybe I should get a drama of people in their 20-30s since Korean dramas are centered around people around that age.

If you want a show with the stars in their 20s-30s, I 'd say Long Vacation. Yes, it's older than 5 years old, but if you have the jtv released version, it's from a dvd rip so the quality and subs are excellent.

I can think of a couple more 90s romance / comedies that are much better than recent ones ( Second Chance, Konna Koi no Hanashi, Virgin Road, Love Generation... ), but quality would be an issue.

I'm pretty sure I'm making a copy of LV for them (my quality is pretty good; not sure if it's the DVD release though). Virgin Road was another one I was thinking of. I just wanted suggestions for newer dramas since they'll probably look better than the ones that I'm going to make copies of. :) Maybe I should've mentioned that earlier.

I finally decided on Long Vacation and probably Dekichatta Kekkon. The latter because I thought it seemed interesting, plus I think it'll amuse the man since he mentioned that the romance in all the Kdramas that he saw was innocent. It's just too bad that I couldn't find anything recent, but I guess that nowadays it's just silly dramas or mysteries, nothing that I'm looking for right now. Muri na Ren'ai might've stood a chance, if it weren't for the old man as the lead character (I doubt a Kdrama fan would stand for this).

I noticed that a lot of Jdramas have stories that end or is solved within an episode. Are there any dramas with episodes that are continuous? Ones that have a cliffhanger at the end so you HAVE to watch the next episode to see what happens.

So far, I can only think of Unfair and Koori no Sekai, but are there any others? Any genre is fine. Thanks!

I haven't started watching it yet, but isn't Gonzo one continual story?

Oops, I forgot to mention that I wanted to make a copy for someone and I don't think I want to give them 39 discs.

I didn't realize it was a continual story. Good to know. Thanks!

Are there any others? Hopefully someone can suggest a non-mystery type, preferably more on the romance side. I wish there was a list for stuff like this...

I probably will make one just for the hell of it to make it easier for me and maybe I'll post it on my site or LJ. And maybe here if it was allowed.
