i'll just recommend my three favorites so far =)

1. water boys (season 1)
2. gokusen
3. good luck!!

i'm looking for some good comedies if anyone can recommend some for me. i'm kind of getting tired of the romance-heavy dramas, though. =(

Good Comedies

1) Densha Otoko
2) Shotgun Marriage/Dekichatta Kekkon
3) Kisarazu Cat's Eye
4) Attention Please

there are many others that have a great mixture of comedy and drama but the aforementioned dramas are heavily infused with comedy.

the j-dramas that Tu recommended were good.

others: GTO, Teru Teru Ashita, and a whole list of others that i can mention. It really depends on what type of j-drama you are interested in, they got all sorts.
2 Jun 2006, 15:55 #1478
Ah cool! Yeah i've been meaning to check out GTO...

Attention Please I watched up until ep 3 it's pretty good but not the laugh out loud funny I was looking for... Though it's cool to see EMO Boy(as I like to call him) from 1 Litre Of Tears in another drama... Playing pretty much the same kind of character haha.

Anyways Yes Qilver if you could recommend more that would be great.

What I am looking for is something very laugh out loud funny(like Densha Otoko and Stand Up!!) With almost animated like acting(like Densha and Stand Up^_^) but with a interesting story that hooks you on the first ep and keeps you watching until the end.

Hmm that seems like a bit too much to ask... I'm even starting to wonder if theres such a thing out side of Densha Otoko and Stand Up!!...

The J-Drama I have watched so far are:
One Litre of Tears(I finished this but it took me awhile... Way too depressing haha),

Densha Otoko(Couldn't get enough of this I just kept laughing and laughing and crying and all sorts of stuff! I really got into that drama It was awesome!),

Summer Snow(Again I really got into this drama, I loved the characters I loved the story line, it kept me watching non-stop until the end laughing and crying through out),

Orange Days(I think I watched up until ep 6 or so It started off great lots of laughes and good stuff in the first ep. But then it went down hill for me... Mainly because the main female annoyed me very much! Although there were so good stuff ie: the girl giving the finger...good times... I just couldn't keep watching.),

Kisarazu Cat's Eye(After watching Densha I needed something to fill my J-drama craving so I decided to give this one a try. It sounded pretty interesting and lots of peoples said it was funny so I downloaded it. I got as far as ep 2 and got bored with it... Sure it had some funny stuff but nothing to keep me watching.)

Tiger & Dragon(Watched the first ep and got bored)

Stand Up!!(Watched up until the latest fansub release, I friggin' love this drama! It kept me laughing and laughing and wanting more just like Densha Otoko did. The acting is crazy funny and I can see me loving this show until the end. I can't wait to see more of it!),

Attention Please(Pretty good, I like the actors in it. Theres some silly moments and such but I don't see it keeping my interest... Though i'll probably end up watching all the eps cause of the main character and EMO boy...)

Anyways if anyone can tell me of some J-drama I might like based on what i've said of these other J-dramas that would be great!
Thank you so much^_^
