KTTRan recomended H2 to me as well, and after episode 1, I am loving it. It has this nice comedy thing going on as well. And not to mention half the girls in it are super cute.

yeah it's a pretty enjoyable show...i liked the acting and chemistry b/n the various cast members

I've just read the synopsis and I read that it's a very sad drama... I'm not good with sad movies (when I watched the lion king I cried so much I've never been able to see that movie twice) so I'll pass on sekai no chuushin... :bonk:

I'm now watching gokusen :D but the person that uploaded it on youtube didn't upload the first 10 minutes.. :doh: but I'm sure even without the beginning 10 minutes it'll be as great as everyone says..

Just finished Kisarazu Cats Eye. I HIGHLY!!! recommend this one. Its just sooo great. Great comedy all the way through, each ep was entertaining.
Deleted Densha Otoko as one of my favorite to add this one in :shocked: :mrgreen: This one is worth my vote :say_yes: :victory:

I have a very important question to ask. Since I will be attending college in the fall... I wanted to bring some J-Dramas to kind of have something to do if I'm not out and about. Plus, they're comforting! So... what J-Dramas do YOU recommend I should bring? Kind of give me a brief synopsis as well... I'm more into dramas like Kimi wa Petto and stuff... something fun, weird, sad, and you know... a good mixture of things!

ok, i have a real variety of tastes in doramas, but i like to watch funny, weird,sad, and most of all enjoyable ones. so heres my list(ps. tons of eye candy too, alsways a plus)
1. KISARAZU cats eye!!!
-you can download the whole series(if you like there subbed as well) at
j-tv.org. probably the most well written and awesome funny also sad
drama ever made. its original and too good to put into any category. the
first two episodes might turn you off(it did for me cos i got confused) but believe me, stick with it and youll be signing the "cats eye" theme song
forever. most memorable drama ive seen!!! :applaud:
2.Tiger&Dragon
-same writer real original drama. about rokugo, and old folk lore stories that is twisted into modern day life.
3.Nobuta wo Produce (need i say more?!?!?)
4.Waterboys(the first and original series)
-at first i thought it was a little old, and weird with guys in speedos, but its so funny and awe-inspiring, that just watching it makes you get motivated(itll be great for your first year at college) you can download this over at JEM
5.Long Vacation (quirky cute drama about two misfits that get along perfectly in the end)
6.GTO(a classic, wait no, more like a legend in dorama's)
7.Brother Beat
-a family comedy, with a real good story. very comical and mokomichi, tetsuji tamayama, are in it. its so entertaining, that youll just go from one episode to the next without even noticing)
8.Kurosagi
-i put this one last cos its not fully subbed nor finished yet, i think its a good one maybe its cos i *heart* yamapi, but hey, its still good and fun to watch on any night. i totally recommend!!!!
9.Gokusen
-what better then jun matsumoto as highschool student? a group of delinquient students, and the next heir in the yakuza family? im sure watching this will bring back awesome memories of highschool and wonder "hey why wasnt my highschool this kick ass?"
so there you have it, my pick. i dont know if you like the same taste as me,:puppygod: but i seem to enjoy watching doramas that are lighthearted and comical. i hope you choose to pick a few and watch them because i seriously became an addict after watching these.

I would suggest
1. If you're a Jun fan....I guess Hana Yori Dango will do. Basically poor girl goes to rich people school. Jun, Oguri SHun along with two other guys play really rich boys and they pretty much are like the "Kings" How will poor girl handle going to this school and how will her life change is pretty much what is the story about.
2. Attention Please. Ueto Aya's new drama. Its being subbed by Kioku at the moment. I'm pretty sure by the time you off to college, it'll be done subbed. Pretty much Aya plays a rock girl who tries to find a job after her band split. She tries to become a Cabin Attendent. She makes friends with 2 other girls and with Nakahara Shouta played by Ryou (dude from News). It's quite entertaining and funny. If Tu_Triky likes it, this says something bout this drama :victory:
3. Orange Days if you haven't seen it. College Romance with some good humor and definately a great storyline imho :mrgreen: Fair warning, don't get bothered by Kou's character. Watch this mainly for story, its more enjoyable that way.
4 Good Luck. I find this good to watch when you're bored.
5.DragonZakura. Watch as Abe Hiroshi tries to send a group of Bakas from the lowest ranked high school into Todai (Tokyo U)

1 Liter of Tear and Sekai no Chuushin if you haven't seen these two. I haven't seen 1 Liter of Tear but I hear its amazingly sad and worth watching.
All I could think of that hasn't been mentioned.
I don't think you want to bother trying to get Kinpachi Sensei 6 since not much peer or seeds and the dling will take you a long time since there is 22 eps + Graduation special. Its pretty much like watching another GTO except teacher is opposite that of GTO. Keep in mind this serie started before GTO. Its very good.

I'm still up for more ideas... & I also need advice on burning the episodes to DVDs. Sometimes I get them with only two episodes per DVD while other times I get about six episodes per DVD. However... the quality between the two is considerably different.
So what do you guys recommend I do when I burn these dramas? Is there a true difference?
