I liked it better than sekai no chuushin. once you pass episode 1 and you'll be hooked.
I dont like watching melodramas either. Somehow I came across this.. I was gonna quit after the first epi.. good thing I didnt.
I'm one of those people who reviewed it and gave it a ten. It's THAT good.

Sekai No Chuushin - love story about a guy who has a gf with cancer
(same guy from Taiyou No Uta)
Ichi Ritoru No Namida - not much of a love story but it does have it
(same girl from Taiyou NO Uta)
Majo NO Jouken - forbidden love (student/teacher) didnt like it much but a lot of people did.. so you MIGHT too.
Hana Yori Dango - funny..

What do you guys think of Last Christmas?
I wanna watch it..
but it might be just like Yamato Nadeshiko (It was ok but wasnt that good)
I read the reviews.. and their pretty good
but then again YamatoNadeshiko had good reviews too and turned out to be just okay.

i've seen yamato nadeshiko...i agree it was not very good in my opinion.....but Last Christmas was an excellent, heartwarming love story with a healthy dose of comedy.....i strongly doubt the preponderance of good reviews that Last Christmas has can be compared to Yamato Nadeshiko......

the chemistry b/n oda yuji and yada akiko is excellent and the side characters are much more interesting as well than in yamato nadeshiko

Last Christmas is much much better.

i hope and i think you'll like it...as you mentioned not everybody likes the same dorams but i have a feeling you'll enjoy this one...i also like the Holiday setting of the dorama the areas in Tokyo where the dorama was shot.....in and around Roppongi Hills, Tokyo...a very affluent well-manicured part of town.

I recently finished Nobuta wo Produce, Densha Otoko and Kurosagi... Loved them... Any recommendations of good dramas? Anything REALLY good that I missed out? Preferebly something not too old and NOT TOO lovey-dovey like Hana Yori Dango... I like dramas and comedies mostly...

I'm also waiting for My Boss My Hero to finish b4 getting the entire set.
