I thought your main reason going to Japan IS to go to Laruku's concert! :hehe:
I know it's premature, but how was the concert? you don't have to go through the details, but could you briefly give us spoilers on what you saw, and what you'll write in your concert details?

Sure! I bought the tour pamphlet with exclusive photograph of each member and a t-shirt. Will post them here in a couple of days along with the concert report. Now I'm afraid I'm too busy to write anything since I have some work to do. Gomen ne...
All in all it was beyond anything I could describe of. I couldn't still get over the excitement of the concert. It was something I had been longing for years, I guess you the know feeling

Wow, this thread has come pretty far recently.

I'm still around reading the thread when I can and enjoying Kiss a lot.

That's great that you saw them live, ryuusei. It's been one of my dreams for a few years, and also one of the driving forces for making me want to take a long vacation in Japan someday, which will coincide with a L'Arc~en~Ciel tour, of course. Thankfully, I have two good friends that live in Japan right now, which makes a trip a much easier thing.

Actually they replaced Bye Bye with Shine on 1/13 concert. I was blown away by the lighting effect when they performed Shine. The stage was completely dark and suddenly strong white light began emitting from each side of the stage toward the audience. I knew what it meant when hyde started singing "I want to shine on you..." It was the first time I heard the song performed live so I thought it was awesome.
Drink it down was very dramatic, green laser was shooting up randomly throughout the arena and the stage light lit rhythmically during the chorus. The performance was so full of energy that I couldn't help being so excited I jumped up and down until I ran out of breath.
Aww..don't cry Hitokiri, I believe if you want something bad enough you can make every wish comes true. Being able to see them live was my wildest dream. I wouldn't even think of being able to see them THAT close. But hey, you'll never know what the future may bring. So hold on to your dreams

Wow, that's a tough question since I enjoy all of them. Drink it down was a very strong and appealing performance but Umibe might be the one that left a lasting impression on me. The first time I heard that song out of the album, I thought it was so-so and kinda repetitive. But after watching it performed live, it kinda resound on my head even it's been 2 days after the concert. The way hyde sang "Ano natsu made aruite namiutsu sunahama e to......kaerou"
was breathtaking. The compelling '...kaerou' part echoed high throughout the arena, I still can't get over it. So I must say Umibe.
Sorry for the long winding unnecessary explanation :banghead:

I think I can imagine the impact, since you said the song resounded in your head for 2 days after the concert.
I can't imagine how good (and emotionally involved) hyde when he sang the line, but I am convinced he sang it good!

It reminds me of something that I've read somewhere, L'arc's lightning and pyro effects in their live gigs are one of the best effects ever put on in live concerts.
I think it's one of the challenge for non-japanese concert promoters to be able to fulfill the demand for the effects in every outside-japan gig.

I hope the lights didn't cause you temporary blindness. hehehe...
