Somebody called one of my co-workers today, and the first thing the customer said was, "When are you guys going to quit jerking off and fix my DSL?" Does that guy have a webcam setup here? [/list:u]

LOL! Ewwwwww....

On Topic: So I spent about three hours yesterday going through every box of packed stuff we own looking for this stupid book (re: previous Wynter post about work). I couldn't find it anywhere. And I ravaged my desk at work and couldn't find it there as well. So I'm like 99% I don't have it. I mean, she leant it to me a year ago, and I'm sure I would have remembered seeing it around in that span of time.

So I came to work today and went to HER office. She has a large bookshelf there with all sorts of books. It took me like three seconds before finding the very book among HER belongs.

I've left it on her desk, but I'll go down there and set things straight. I knew she was falsly accusing me.  :grumble:

Whoa, whoa, whoa Sensei! Maybe she just honestly forgot she had it. I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt, at least the first time anyway. Plus, it gives me the satisfaction of knowing I didn't have to go down to their level :victory: [/list:u]

But she did falsly accuse me, because when I initially said I didn't think I had it, she said that I was the only one she had leant it to, and that it wasn't in the spot she kept it (shelf above her desk).

I usually DO give people the benefit of the doubt, but I KNOW her.

Looks like I'm planning a trip for my students to China for the March Break in 2008!

Of course!

On Topic: New semester has started here. My new schedule is weird. I have Civics first period with 27 students. I have Digital Media Arts third period with 28 students. I have Vocational Visual Arts fifth period with 5 kids. 5 kids!

So far I've had my Civics class. Not a bad group of kids. I'm not too worried about media, even tho there are only 3 girls out of 28 in that class. I'm more worried about my 5 vocational kids. And I just found out they'll be adding a sixth kid - a correctional kid. :google:

This is looking like a good weekend.

OMG!

Okies, there's this supply teacher who came in once. This guy is prolly a year or two older than me. AND MEGA WEIRD! Like, I would eat lunch in another office because he was in mine. He was so annoying and thought he was so funny. He wouldn't shut up and wouldn't stop talking about how smart he was. Blah blah blah.

Well, apparently he's been hired as an LTO and he's sharing one of my courses. Which means I have to help him along. We've been paired! >>weeps<<

LOL! It does now.

It actually means Long Term Occational, but Loser Trainee On-site sounds much more appropriate.

This is one of the reasons I'm rarely on during work. Other teachers and students are constantly buzzing around me, even when I have my prep or lunch. It's really frustrating, but then, that's how the environment is.

Okies, so I'm getting used to my new classes, but stupid incidents are already starting to occur. In my Media Arts class, where I have nearly 30 students but only 3 are female, I was talking about how the majority of my classes usually consist of more boys than girls. This one student of mine, whom I have previously taught in another course, stands up and says "it's cause you're such a babe, miss." Whatever happened to the quiet, respectful students I keep hearing about from my senpais? :grumble:

That's a compliment, at least. :applaud:
