Will they change their attitude towards you? Acknowledging is the first step but then ...
It's all in good fun, I suppose...
Today was a grand day. I had a party in two classes and one of my students baked me a birthday cake. I'm gonna be working off pizza and cake all week.
im actually considering the India job.. considering the cost of living, i could seriously have a maid clean up after me, a driver to take me to work, and all the nam bread/curry i could eat cause it's dirt cheap..
i'd actually make out quite well, if the humidity didn't kill me first.
yeah, i realized that while i was talking about it with some coworkers... that could be the dealbreaker... although, i hear you get more vacation days as a contractor there, than you would here. One company i heard, gives you an automatic 2 weeks and airfare to return home to see your family every year, and another two weeks you can use anytime. that's on top of the standard vacations. airfare's pretty cheap and it's a short hope to thailand.

India is a beautiful country with a lot of history and gorgeous locations... but I don't think I'd ever consider living there. The culture shock alone would kill you... unless you've travelled to Asia before...
I wouldn't live there either, although I wouldn't mind visiting it. :)

If you're lucky, you could even hire someone to do your job for a few bucks a days. :hehe:
Ok here is something I just dont understand about job in general. I have worked at my current job for over a year and yet people are comming in and are automatically getting to be lead cashier (i work retail). I have yet to be raised to lead and yet I have worked there longer than most of the people. I say most because one person has been there longer than me. What the hell. I feel like I am the one who will be bossed around forever there....hopefully at the beginning of the new year I will get a raise or something. Man it pisses me off :grumble:
