We have a new contact at one of our Japanese suppliers. His name is Toshi. I had to suppress a laugh when I found out :hehe:

I think I've scarred myself because I call Trikey Toshi. When I read your post I thought you were talking about OUR Toshi-kun.

To make matters worse, thanks to you I have to refrain from addressing him as Toshi-kun in emails

Time for my bi-monthly rant :hehe:
I have realised two things today:
- I have to work another 33 to 35 years but I feel like retiring next year
- I am quite busy and I enjoy my job, yet in the same time I am often bored like hell

The above things made me realise that I have a total and absolute lack of self-motivation.
Well I wish it was Friday already!

You sound like me.

Only I don't have that long until retirement, thank goodness!

Today was a P.D. day, which means no students, but teachers participate in a Professional Development activity.

Today we were brainwashed by the Fish! organization. I've never been so pissed off in my life.

I didn't care enough to remember what Fish! stood for. I really wanted to leave, but they take attendance and you get a slap on the wrist for skipping a P.D. :grumble:

It really was. One of the veterans in my department is going to write a lengthy letter to the organizers. I can't believe they put us through the workshop for the entire day. I'd rather have taught my period 5 kids all day.

Looks like a cure for insomnia. :hehe:

Monthly tests. What a load of crap. :shakehead: I'm glad we never had that kind of crap here. They sometimes they buy us books, but they're technical. Not on "How to put a fake smile", "the joys or pyramidal schemes" or "let's all be happy bunnies and sing with flowers".

The only seminar the guys here went to, was in San Jose and Santa Clara. It involved free t-shirts, being invited to party all night by some other company and booth babes. :metaldevil: :hehe:

Got into a rather heated discussion with the VP today.

I think he realized that he was wrong after the engineering manager backed me up.

That's great. It's nice to have a coworker on your side too. :)
