Had to go to a test site with the boss today... :bleh: :banghead:

The woman drives with her hands on the top of the steering wheel and her elbows resting on the bottom... How in the hell do you steer a car like that?

And she's driving a giant GM SUV... A Denali something or other...

Hope this is the first and last time it happens.

most people drive like that when lost.

BMW... being a recent addition to the jdorama.com family... what do you that needs a test site?

We design and manufacture electronic test equipment.

In order to sell any electronic products in Europe equipment must pass pretty stringent electrical (EMI/RFI) emissions guidelines (the so-called CE mark), so we have to take our equipment to a certified facility to have it tested.

Pain in the royal ass.

Still working on this dvd project, should be ready early tomorrow, I had to find ways to get the Dvd video into the program as they made it on a DVD+R which wont read in the Toshiba dvd player my aunt has.

But I hope I wont have to make many more changes after I show my final work when it's done.

...Not to mention, be environmentally compliant (lead-free components, and the like). The EU has some tough regulations.

The letters "CE" are the abbreviation of French phrase "Conformité Européene" which literaturely means "European Conformity".

From what I hear, we don't have to worry about RoHS until June 2006.

And the way we do things here, it'll be the last minute.

It's a Chinese thing, ne?

Not with the parties involved, though. :bleh:

It's not crap, but actually funny.

So we get a little notice at our desks reminding us to wear our badges at all times (as if we don't know who works here). Anyhoo, what do my coworkers decide to do? Sure, paste these notices all on the bulletin board. The darn wall is covered with the sheets of paper.

So much for the so-called "paperless office". :hehe:

I don't think that will ever exist. Even in the age of PDFs, what is one of the first things we do? Print a hard copy. Of course. :hehe:

That was passable.

hahahahaahaha. I know exactly what you all mean.

In the company I'm at, they want to do away with the hard copy files.
That's impossible to do in escrow.

They're telling us to scan and then shred (the docs). No way. You need the originals and hard copies. It's just too hard to go paperless so soon.

Absolutely. It's a fantasy scenario.

I'm more in favor of a manager-less office. ;)
