I don't want to see them do any Samurai movies.....it'll be lame and horrible :bleh: :bleh:

They should do what they do best....some chick flick with an amazingly predictable ending
That or try to make horror movies as good as the Japanese....

and that goes back to my comment earlier...ok so they did do a version of Ring and Grudge right???

oh well...

hahahah makes sense to me.

American show signs of making their version of Asian movies.
Their make of IL Mare....now doing their version of Infernal Affair.

the article mentioned one guy who said that american movies were getting boring cuz it's the same ol' crap basically that's coming out of Hollywood. and it also mentioned the fact that japanese audiences were looking for characters that they could identify with.....japanese actors portraying japanese ppl with typical japanaese problems or situations.

 :beaten: beautiful candid pics! she looks really cute with the beanie~ I hope it was okay for her to fly alone.. Them Chinese people are so lucky! But i never knew mainlanders were into Aya? But then again, there are people on the forum from all over the world! I am eternally jealous of them darn people. they DO NOT KNOW how lucky they are. Especially to get an autograph from the real deal!

Maybe she thought like that, too. "Nobody knows me there anyway so I can finally fly there alone and without security... its like a vacation :dancing: "
And then first thing that happens after she landed was some fan screaming her name :hehe:
But meeting her like this, without hundreds of other fans surrounding her, would be like a dream coming true. Too bad that it probably will never happen to me and most other fans :shamefulcry:

ThyGriever wrote:
i remember this convo. haha a loooong time ago... aya would probably just be bothering jackie while he tries to save the world :hehe:

Yes, that sounds like a great and funny film
Somehow this reminds me on "Wasabi" with Jean Reno and Ryoko Hirosue :hehe:

this is how aya's sig looks like. Pretty cool lookin! I battled for these at auctions for outrageous prices. They were autographed in front of my face but they'll do =] (since i might not ever ever see aya ever) each card goes thru about $80-100 USD depending on how crazy them fanboys are lol

Spending so much for autographs, especially on tiny Trading Cards is crazy :nut:
Getting a autograph personally is something totally diffenernt than just buying one.

i was gonna put up a whole bunch of scans for my 500th post but college has been keeping me busy so that might not happen..

Well, then congrats to the 500th :hehe:
No problem wehen you post those scans a bit later. But please donLt wait till you 1000th ;) :hehe:

I definitely agree!!! :woot: lol.. But like u said she won't come coz of low demand..
They should at least have more of her jdoramas or CMs.. Then demand will increase.. Should write to mediacorp or something.. LOL.

I asked about that in Learn Japanese section.

If I remember right....the person who answered my question said its because its like signing in cursive or something like that  :beaten:

After work today I'll hide Aya's face and just show my wife the signature and see if she can figure it out. If she can, will ask her how and why is it so different from the original Kanji.

of course it was Tokyo Drift! those movies don't even play very well in the Japanese market.

in fact i just read an article that said the japanese movie market is starting to be less influenced by american films....that is to say, american films are starting to make less and less money in japan....and homegrown japanese movies are starting to make more money in japan by capturing a larger portion of the market.

well thats a good thing in my opinion. american films lately have been shite on an international scale.
"hey, lets do a remake of a film that doesn't need doing as we have no original ideas, maybe even shove a stupid typical american morale behind it to just to really ruin it like we always do in our films...."

if not that then its "hey, that film was good, lets remake that asian film but keep it exactly the same, bar having american actors cos we can't watch films unless they have a well known american in them...."

For some yea....strokes matter.

If you think of it this way.....if you go according to strokes, is a lot easier to write the characters and more often then none have it look right and easy to read as well

oh yeah i can see some times strokes are important. as some are exactly the same as another bar the fact that the stroke is in reverse. but sometimes i do write them and think "well i didn't really need to do it that way...."
i usually do it correctly but sometimes i don't haha.

She likes Aya almost as much as we do.

A couple nights ago she was looking at some "hard to find" Japanese websites and found some footage of young Aya saying that her "dream" or goal in life is to star in many commercials.

Probably. You too?

The cover looks kind of funny. Wonder what sorts of pictures are in it. Hopefully they'll be recent pictures.
