Japanese cellphones work in Germany? I thought Germany was on GSM not CDMA/TDMA networks...

Usually they donLt. But a recent line of 3G phones worked with a German sim card. I got a Vodafone 904T, a friend a 903T :mrgreen:

oh it's a Vodafone...well that's not truly a "Japanese" fone is it? well, sounds fun in any case! nice strap, reminiscent of aya huh :)

check out this old skool Oronamin C sign at this local ramen restaurant in Los Angeles....i ate there last night with a friend. this sign was made well before aya was born!

On Wednesday, the Japan Jewellery Association announced Aya Ueto as the "image leader" for the 2008 YEAR Jewellery campaign. The color for the campaign is orange.

Aya's Interview Part III (final) (translated by wen_yamada)

Q: Will you change your fashion style too? (After having short hair)
A: The clothes that I wore with long hair are not suitable for short hair. I put on skirts when I had long hair, and now I will wear more pants.

Q: Will you go to buy some clothes yourself?
A: I want to stay with friends or family during holidays, so there isnft these kind of chance. I usually buy things for my friends, seldom for me.

Q: I have heard that you had bought pottery and tea leaves to your mum during your mumfs birthday?
A: Yes, I always buy gifts for others. I just bought a wishing machine for my friend, I think my friend will be happy to receive. Maybe my friends need something, when I think it, I will buy for them. Also I will go shopping in toyserfus for my nephew. Sometimes when I want to buy something for myself, I also want to buy for Becky, I am always like that.

Q: You are really thoughtful!
A: I always devote for others, when others feel happy because what I have done for them, I will feel very happy. Also my friends like my goodwill, so I want to devote more.

Q: What will you do during holiday?
A: I love cooking recently, I will go to market if I have time, and cook them with the food left at home. I started cooking one year ago, I cannot cook anything at first, and I even havenft use a knife for cooking. I am going to be 20 and I cannot cook, it seems itfs not so good, so I start to learn cooking. I can cook now if I have recipe.

Q: Which food you are good at?
A: I cook anything, such as braise beef or noodles, if I cook too many, I will freeze them and share with others. The lunch box of the filming place is too much for me, if I cook by myself, I can know how much salt I have take in.

Q: What will you concern of keep your body fit?
A: People around me are very sensitive, so I have to keep fit, and I love rice, I will finish the lunch box in filming place. After I finish, I notice the eyes of the staffs are so cool.

Q: Our magazine is quite focus on body shape, what kind of body shape of man do you like?
A: I like man who have slim shape, and who have go to gym. It is great.

Q: Any more condition for man you like?
A: I like the one who eats a lot, I donft like people cannot finish all their meal.

Q: What do you want man to wear this summer?
A: emmmcshirts are good. Do not button the buttons are good too. People who suitable for shirts are good, I like simple style.

Q: Aya finished her ceremony of adults. Do you have any special thinking after 20?
A: I have my own responsibility. Before 20, I will ask my company and parents before I do anything, and now they will not ask anymore. Now my company only remind me to keep fit.

Q: How do you face pressure?
A: I will not accumulate them, I am honest and outspoken.

Q: How do you keep happy?
A: emmm...I will cry if I want. I will endure when I face the public, so if I cannot endure, I will cry entirely. So that people around me and myself will notice that I am forcing myself. My parents always told me to cry entirely.

Q: Oh... if you cry and look from the mirror, you will cry more.
A: Yes, I can feel it! Every time I watch the my crying scene, I want to cry too. But crying is really important.

Q: What do you want to do this summer?
A: I want to go exercise. I had gone to gym in my old home, it was really good. But I am tired of that after one month. EMIRI just give me a machine of jogging, but itfs really big so I have to tidy up my room first, and start jogging. Also I get the licence on October last year, so I want to drive around with my friends.
