TY very much!! Now i will re-create my wallpaper.
BTW, i hope JPG will die soon (if storage and speed is no longer an issue), and PNG (lossless compression) or something like that will take over.

I donLt think thatLll happen anytime soon. jpg is, if not compressed too much, a good format. good quality at a very small filesize.
My Aya pics folder os 3.4 GB. I wonder how big itLd be if those werenLt all jpgs but png or bmps :nut: :hehe:

I seriously doubt that any Aya fan will buy it for that price :beaten:
I googled a bit. That Ian Francis seems to be a british painter. This is his website:
http://www.thecontextualvillains.org/book/ian.html
I wonder if he is a Aya fan? I mean how else would he have found a Aya pic that inspired him for a painting?
I wonder if her got commissioned by Aya to make that Painting.. that seems to ge Illegal you know to make money out of somebody without the Aya's permission.

I doubt he did ask. Any Aya, in Japan would probably never know about this one or mind, after all, I guess :hehe:

If the bitmaps stop downloading (it's a poor server), you could try the jpg's:
http://www.tweezitter.nl/kawaii/jpg

If those fail too, i could post here or email them.
You might need to shorten the filenames: my Windows sometimes looses the connection to wallpapers with long filenames.

I think these were the 'originals': http://www.yui-life.com/gallery/d/11387-3/aya106a.jpg and aya106b.jpg. I think they are from Freefall too.

Freefall, would you please rescan http://music.box.free.fr/gallery/aiueto/aya058.jpg too? :say_yes:

I say this painting is not worth its price at all :
1- what is this draughtboard floor turned upside down on the right ?
2- What is the shape on the top left , sort of soul. Scary
3- Looks like Aya's arm is bleeding , it smells like suicide.
4- I don't get the connection with the title AYA UETO TAKES A HOLIDAY FROM ALL HER TROUBLES. Is suicide the solution -_-
5- 58 x 58 cm => way too small
6- He inspired himself from a pic from Breath PB. -_- ANd to tell the truth he's made the pic much worser than it was .... Where's the artistical touch ? Man art has to be different from photography, esp. if it's to copy photography ... in worse.
7- I don't think Aya gave her agreement.

Non sense painting. Seems he got inspired by Dali and Warhol, mixing the two. :bleh: ugly result. Okay I'm no graduated one from an arts school, but Art is supposed to be pleasant even to the poor non-cultured people like me.
Price has gone down btw. Now US $2,613.88 , Ie 1250 pounds.

Hmmmm just wanted to say .... Aya Ueto is to me the most lovely lady on earth, along with my ex-girlfriend. By a looong wayyy.

The ai ueto PB has never been scanned by Freefall (or else it was before I came :beaten: ), he's too busy for that. The only available scans so far have always been the fact of Gloomy, webmaster of aya.rikku.nu , and dear buddy of ours.
Much props to him again.

Hey, thatLs modern art! There itLs OK to have the floor on the top of the picture :hehe:
Well, I somewhat like his art and painting style. There are better works than this Aya picture, though.

1- That doesn't matter when it's 'art'.
2- I don't see any specific shape.
3- Terrible thought. The other red in the picture isn't positive to that mather either, i think.
4- Indeed, title doesn't appeal.
5- That doesn't matter, if it were GOOD art.
6- "Man art has to be different from photography": i don't think that has to be the case. Art is a very wide subject.
7- I don't think that's really necessary, if the art would be 100% 'positive'. If a negative vision on the work is possible, then i think you're right.

"Art is supposed to be pleasant even to the poor non-cultured people like me.":
i don't think art has always to be pleasant, but i (too) have nothing much with unpleasant art.

"Aya Ueto is to me the most lovely lady on earth, along with my ex-girlfriend.":
But, what if you HAD to choose? ;)

Maybe you COULD use PNG this time? Bacause it's a smaller pic, jpg won't be necassary maybe? (the background doesn't have to be scanned, ofcourse :)).
And... Nothing much on earth is perfect :).

I'm sorry for this question was answered already, but is Aya-chan not releasing a calender this year? I wanted to get one for my brother but can't find it...

6- oops sry I meant that painting has to be different from photography, otherwise it's useless. When u paint a portrait nowadays, it's non-sense to paint it as close as possible as a photography.
2- well about that shape I see a human shape, in fact a head : the face is in black and the white wave is actually the hair of this head. ><
1- Dunno about u guys but that black and white chessboard floor turned upside down gives me a big headache :beaten: .

Well if this is called a piece art, I don't understand anything to it that's for sure. (But I happen to like other paintings etc.)

"Aya Ueto is to me the most lovely lady on earth, along with my ex-girlfriend." What if I had to choose ? Well errrr ... Hm. Well I'd choose Aya because the ex-girlfriend is ,after all, an EX-girlfriend right ? :beaten: I should let go of her a bit. :hehe: And make myself a new life. Like in Abarenbou Mama. :woot: Good point for Aya, I don't have a child from my past relationships  ... hmmm but is that really a "good" point ? :headscratch:

I know I know .... That's incredible isn't it ?
Well I'm okay with a floor being upside down but at the only condition I understand the meaning.
Yep, some fan works are better IMO. Much better  .

2 - I still don't see it... But never mind.
If he wants to sell it, the red should be removed and the title should be changed. Even then, knowing how it was at first, would keep me away from the work.
