Freefall wrote:No, both are just DVD rips. The old ones were TV rips. So the new ones are much better but not real DVD quality.
But I bet Phinn has the originals. Maybe he could post 1 or 2 caps?

Yeah, I'll stick a few up for you tomorrow evening - I'd be interested to see too. If the quality difference is negliable, then it'll be a cheap way of getting decent Aya raws for fansubbing.

Cool. Best keep the caps as they come out without resizing or anything. ILll make the same ones with my Little chef or Ace DVDs then.
The picture quality is fine with those and if there really isnLt much of a difference ILd say thereLs a lot of money that you could safe :hehe:
I just bought Hitonatsu as boxed set from him for $25 as well. Nothing compared to the $190 it normally costs

How was Hitonatsu???? I've still yet to watch this drama :puppydog:

I'm hoping it gets to be the series of the week on D-addicts :fingerscrossed:

OK, maybe the scene in "little chef" when they first arrive at the house might be interesting to compare. Maybe they just filmed it like that but itLs very bright and the house is nearly competely white. DonLt know if they messed with the contrast or whatever...
But I think the main difference will be in sharpness and compression pixeling.

ILve only seen the first 2 episodes yet (waiting for the DVD rips version to go on) but from what I can say it looks very good. My absolute favourite is definately KKK 03 but I think Hitonatsu can make #2
And she never looked better than in Hitonatsu, thatLs for sure :inlove:

I still haven't seen Azumi2. :puppydog:
I've been really patient to get a hold of really good quality of the movie.

think about it for a sec ... and you will find the answer for yourself *eg* ... a regular movie is about 90-120min long, BUT a regular dorama series is about 500-600min long .... so about five times longer. then keep in mind that even regular dvd-movies in japan may cost about 40$ (limited editions even far more!!) ... 5x 40$ = 200$ ...

--> you see, it's almost the same price per minute if you really wanna compare it with some movies then.

cheers, genji. :woot:

...

I'm not sure if my heart, and waist line, could handle My Little Chef with better quality. I still remember the crepes suzettes. :drooling:

As for Hitonatsu, I liked it. I never heard omae said so many times in a drama. Aya gets mad at her dad because of that and looks very kawaii. :nut:

Makes sense. But I somehow still think that TV series shouldnLt be so expensive on DVD.
