I was involved with a startup many years ago and we usually had certain employees take the phones or have contact with the public. IT folks didn't want to take on the many idiotic questions that they get daily, so the fielding questions from public was left to the kid who wanted to learn from the IT folks or maintain the website or scour the user websites for illegal files.
But at least you were cordial. There are some people who get really hardcore rage and start screaming and screaming on the phone because their website is down.
Heh, from personal experience, being cordial is the way to go.
Corial customers (with probs)=Better service and better responses.
(I work in a customer service based industry, so I hate it when people get in my face for something that I didn't do)
But that David was a rude asshole. He stopped replying after Groink asked the questions. He was speechless, basically.
But the thing that really gets me is that Groink was CORDIAL during such a time.
At least he (David) could've tried to "toss the customer's salad" just a bit more, but unfortunately, he did to no avail. --Horrible cust svc (IMO) C'mon people! :cursing: That's your job! Toss the customer's salad if you have to!!!!!!!!
