disappointed to see that Musashi actually touched Yoshino as the book did mentioned that Yoshino couldn't put him in such a weak state but only Otsu could :(

The NHK drama takes a number of liberties in regards to the book, which is typical of any adaptation... It has its ros and cons.

BTW, welcome to the forums, Musashi fan...! :woot:

Hi malo, welcome to the boards too !!! I hope you'll enjoy your stay here and post often !!!!! :woot: :woot:
Thanks a lot for the Ebizo pic. I'll post that on the Ebizo's thread too.
BTW, where in France do you live ???? Did you get to see Ebizo's Kabuki performance in Paris last year ????

Well, yes sure. In case of adaptation, changes are inevitable right? Guess can't help comparing it with the novel. Just as what Peter Jackson did to LOTR. I wonder what if he made Musashi, what would it be like???

But I love Matahachi better in the series than in the novel. He's much more comical :applaud:

Anyway, I love the scene where people were dancing. Musashi and Otsu slipped among them. That was just awsome!!! :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:

Any pics of the most romantic scenes of Musashi and Otsu, everyone? I hope? :fingerscrossed:

Whoa. Has this thread been kick started again?
Was wondering what happened to it.

Which scenes are you talking about?

There's only a couple of scenes where they're hugging. Their romance is very chaste.

Their love scenes are really chaste, but are beautiful (at least, the ones I have in my mind, don't know they're the ones etoile are talking about).
Well, don't know if we can really call that love scenes, since they're just huggin'. I call them that way, but don't know about you guys ...

Agreed.

(at least, the ones I have in my mind, don't know they're the ones etoile are talking about).

I betcha we're thinking about the same scene(s). :D

I consider their huggings love scenes. Do you agree? They're just beautiful. Glad they didn't kiss. Kisses often ruin the chemistry, you know what I mean?

Well, the scenes I am talking about are in the last episode when they were sleeping and hugging. And when they were slipping into the crowd od people dancing. That was lovely!! :good: :applaud:

They were more like just resting after their ordeal.

Yes, but I see it more like hugging :) as Musashi looked lovingly at Otsu..well not exactly looked but more like it I think.

btw, I read early on that you guys mentioned about some guys at NHK shutting down Musashi site. Is this issue allowed to talk about in this forum? If it is, what actually happened?

My complaint was that not too long after Musashi finished airing in Japan, NHK decided to close down the Musashi site (to make room for Shinsengumi)... NHK could have easily started a entirely new page for Shinsengumi and left the Musashi site up and running for a while... It's not like they were hurting for disc space or something.

I just thought it was a dumb thing to do.

bmwracer, so they shut down the site to make room for Shinsengumi, huh? Didn't they the budget for making another site or something?

I wish Musashi could have been longer than 49 episodes. Why does taiga drama always last 49 episodes? Is 49 a sacred number or something? I sometimes didn't get the feelings of certain scenes which I think very important in Musashi's life as they seemed to be rushed.

For Malo, bonjour Malo! je parle francais un peu. Tu aimes Musashi aussi? Super!

I've no idea.

I think they might've been worried about people hotlinking to the site or something... They're dopes.

I thinki it wouldn't have lasted 49 episodes if they didn't put in the Yagyu and Tokugawa subplots (which I thought were unnecessary)... Your guess is as good as mine on the number 49... :headscratch:

I didn't see Musashi used his famous style of swordfight with two swords. I had been wanting to see that
