Welcome! *nod, nod, nod* U got another vote here: Matsuyuki Yasuko is so far the best, who has co-starred w/ Tsutsumi san.

For comedy, I'll vote for Eri Fukatsu
For other more grown-up roles, I still think Yasuko brings out the best in Tsutsumi :victory:

just think that Tsutsumi san looks good w/ actresses that are more 'grown-up' :mrgreen:

WOW...in the drama when he talks to the caucasian "thanks, i will settle the rest" in the hotel, his english's pronounciation sounds good... :dancing:

at least he pronounce as "thanks" not "tank"

Takayanagi is friendly but... not someone who's easy to read.. i think & hope it'll be... makes me wonder wats the story behind Takayanagi's success

agree. I thot he said "I'll take care of the rest"? Maybe I've got it wrong; in any case, he speaks much better English than I expected. I think he speaks it better than Kimura kun in GL! :victory:

hahah....i agree with u.. in fact, i think kimura kun pre-recorded his lines in english before hand.

i am totally impressive by his "thanks" cos most japanese will pronounce as "tank"

i m ok with Shimao... not much difference from Tsuyoshi's previous characters .. Shimao kind of remind me of his role in Ii hito.. :sweat: personally, would like to see Shimao turned into a money minded devil by Takayanagi :metaldevil::mrgreen:

The contrast between Suzuki's character & that of Takanagi's has actually been established quite well, despite the quick pace of the first episode. I think we are led to expect more clashes & eventually mutual understanding between them.

mmm... I think the scriptwriter is using the same formula as in GL, i.e. hot-headed but gd-natured Shinkai vs seemingly emotionless, but gd-at-heart Koda :D the same magic is at work here...

well, the actress who plays tsutsumi san's current gf (keep forgetting her name, maybe it reflects my deep felt detest of her, :naughty: ) just can't act up to Tsutsumi's fine acting (I've seen her in Pride... awful), NOT a equal match like Eri, or Yasuko, or Nanako, even if we discount her being too tall. sigh ...
