wow, thnx for the link. This is marvellous. And yes, I rem that short intro, actually all his self-introduction is short, but apparently funny. At all press con (films or dramas), he always manages to make ppl laugh...

I really think he's shy that way, strange, eh? considering he's such a consummate pro... :hehe:

maybe...
noticed tat his remark r always very direct

errrrrr..... cf Eri's comments in Bistro & his
when Nakai asked him wat hether he likes Omurice.. then he commented tat he doesnt hve any preference :mrgreen:

when i saw the first episode in koi ni ochitara, i was thinking "poor tsutsumi, he must be working very hard and tired himself out that he look kinda older here :shamefulcry:

yeah, he has virtually worked back to back in the last 12 months, and I think he'll be keeping himself busy these coming months, w/ 2 new films out in the summer, then a play in Sept, and another film out in Nov.

I guess this is the reality of showbiz, either U R hot or U R not. :D

yes, yes, I remember that. maybe it's his directness that makes ppl laugh, coz Jap are usu very subtle and ambiguous. That 's what so attractive about him, isn't it? Never mince his words, but I agree, if a person's words are too direct, they hurt too...mmm...come to think of it again, it can't be very good to be this direct, ne? Perhaps that's his Kansai character shining thru?

I can't really catch much of what he said, but yeah, his accent is kinda different, now that U guys have reminded me...

i think sometimes, he is too direct, especially at waratte iitomo whereby he said something that even kimura display the cross sign with both hands and said "da me" to him.

darn rite, it takes Tsutsumi san two decades to reach where he is now, he can manage very different characters both in depth and range.

Not too many actors have been able to achieve this, I guess

i think when he said something that he shouldn't, his gestures and expression is just like that the one at smap bistro... but this time, his face went red... :hehe:

Oh....and he looks funny when he is trying to make others guess what he is trying to imitate...he imitates a crow and it looks funny.

apparently, during the promotion of The Doctor.. he was asked wats is so attractive abt the drama tat makes him choose to act in it, he replied tat nothing special.. its coz he's got the free time to do a drama.. *faint*:hehe::hehe:

hehe.. heard tat Kansai pple tend to joke around more, dunno how true izit

but strangely enough.. he seems to be a likeable figure
so...... guess he can't be too direct after all :hehe:

*nod head* u r rite... & think it has been a rough ride & alot of hardwork ne

u guys seen this?
http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0875495/bio
read it

his ability to portray characters with depth is probably due to his years of training in theatre
always think tat theatres r more difficult cf to tv dramas
where actors hve to rem tonnes of lines & no NGs r allowed
think this requires an incredible amount of concentration power
must be very stressful

Oh! U mentioned NG! LOL!! Wonder how he did it with sooooo many NGs in GL! Muahahah! If it was a play~ guess it would have played for 3 hrs!

And if anyone watched ATERUI~ I think around Disc 2 around chapter 2-3~ tsutsumi was LAUGHING when he was NOT SUPPOSE TO!!! That part is soooo cute cos that guy (a very very funny old man) tried to make him laugh with his er~ drumstick~ it was very funny~ and u can see Tsutsumi trying to hide his laugh!

yah~ i think he is a doctor in it (i've got the vcd from luku but haven't watched)~ i think the show is quite boring! Other then the appearance of Tsutsumi that is! So what he said can be true to a certain extend!! Not that the drama is good but simply because he was free!! :hehe: :hehe: OH~ i'm so baaaad! :bonk:
