errrrrr... think the scriptwriter focus too much on Shimao & Kaori
didnt really enjoy those parts .. bit draggyleh...
looks like Matsushita need to buck up her acting skills ne...
dunno leh... looking at Kaori... somehow she doesn't bring out tat

**SPOILER ON ACTING SKILLS** tat's wot I thot too about Matsushita; wow, her high-pitched voice, sometimes expressionless face (except for the very plastic smile); and empty stares... I dunno leh, perhaps I am being too critical. After all, this is only her 2nd drama assignment... :sweat: she somehow lacks the chemistry when acting w/ Shimao; she needs more warm-up... :bonk:

Relating to Takayanagi's stare, this is wat i understand frm ep3,

Kamiya gave Shimao a new assignment - to get a famous dessert shop, Kiyokawa, to sell its product on the website of Frontier shopping

Shimao wasn't successful at 1st
Takayanagi advised him to use money to entice Kiyokawa
He said tat everyone can be moved(?) by money
(i think he meant everyone has a price, so long as one is willing to pay the price, anything can be done)
('‹à‚Å‚¤‚²‚©‚È‚¢lŠÔ‚Í‚¢‚È‚¢‚¼—é–Ø“‡’j" said Takayanagi)

Shimao offered Kiyokawa 2 million yen but was rejected

to understand why Kiyokawa's red bean dessert is so delicious (to the extent tat Shimao, who dislikes sweet desserts, find it tasty), Shimao asked the owner of a dessert shop in his neightbourhood to teach him (find this part bit exaggerated... :sweat:)

After he completed his training in dessert making, he went back to Kiyokawa. He told Kiyokawa tat he doesn't like sweet stuff except Kiyokawa's red bean dessert . He then continued to tell Kiyokawa wat ingredients was put in to make the dessert so tasty.

He said tat he tried to make it himself.
Tat is why he understands tat the red bean dessert has to be handmade
& not by machines. He said tat he likes the taste of Kiyokawa's red bean dessert. Therefore, he doesn't wan the taste to change. He apologised for
troubling Kiyokawa (?) (‚²–À˜f‚¨‚©‚¯‚µ‚Ü‚µ‚½)

After Shimao left the shop, he get to know tat Kiyokawa's son lost his recorder. The recorder has got sth to do with Kiyokawa's wife who has passed away .. Shimao helped the boy search for the recorder...
Kiyokawa saw this scene ...

Alas, Kiyokawa agreed to participate in Frontier shopping with the condition of selling only 250 desserts a day
Kiyokawa told Takayanagi tat its not the money tat made him change his mind, its coz of Shimao the person

this result in the *shiver* stare :mrgreen:

i suppose Takayanagi is angry (or jeolous) ? coz Shimao has proved to him tat wat he believes all along is wrong
if u ask me, i feel tat the matter seems bit trivial for Takayanagi to express such anger on Shimao :sweat:
at least Shimao, at this stage, has not undermined his authority in the co yet

in ep3, the scriptwriter made a very direct comparison between Shimao & Takayanagi's character ne

Takayanagi ~ Ogura's deal
Shimao ~ Kiyokawa's deal

Takayanagi failed to appreciate the reason why the owner of Ogura hotel is not willing to sell his hotel (which is non money related)
Shimao, on the other hand, try his best to find out and understand the reason behind Kiyokawa's rejection

Result,

Takayanagi who uses money to entice -> failed to convince Ogura
Shimao who uses his "heart" -> successful

looks like the battle btw Shimao vs Takayanagi will get more interesting in ep4 :mrgreen:

U are rite about the intense comparison between Takayanagi & Suzuki; think the script writer has been trying to build it up in the last 3 episodes; the place they live in, the lifestyle they lead; how they view & handle life & ppl in general.

Actually, I like the angry look Shin-chan puts on (altho very scary) when the hotel owner tells him Takayanagi is hated & the scene when the hotel owner is leaving the hotel and Takayanagi walks in & takes over as the new hotel owner ...(Ogura tells Takayanagi, "U cannot bring money w/ U to heaven"?) I like that bit; I think the script writer is trying to intensify the contrast between Takayanagi & Suzuki, in a sense that the characterisation of Takayanagi becomes more hostile & unforgivingly cold about other ppl's feelings...well, just my two cents :bonk: but yes, I guess last time when u said he reminds u of Sakurako in Yamato; u r rite; it's becoming a parallel; IRONIC! but glad to see Shin-chan in such a complicated role...luv :naughty:

Yes, the revenge Takayanagi takes against the hotel owner is vicious; think this is deliberately written in (--> Horie Takafumi reincarnation?? :hehe: ); think that they want to portray him to remind ppl of Horie as a money-grabbing monster :metaldevil:

I agree too about Shimao's dessert making bit; I skipped most of the scenes in my 2nd & 3rd viewing :sweat: perhaps because I hate red bean paste so much myself!! :hehe:

If U ask me, I sometimes get a little sick of Kusanagi's acting :bonk: , tho I like him arrr :shakehead:
