I've recently started reading Vampire Knight.. I heard it's becoming an anime.. Wish they'd make a dorama instead.. They never make any vampire doramas.. or maybe I've just missed them  Anyway, I quite like Vampire Knight so far :woot:

what did you think??
I have some thing to say! i was on this website and there was a VS of Itachi from Naruto and Arucard from Hellsing And they was saying that Itachi was the winer of that fight..
what do you thinnk? well i think Arucard would kick the shit out of Itachi
stevie, sorry i missed your post.
the new one is out btw.
to tell you the truth, i'm not a big fan of shonen manga strong arrogant characters. all those villains and stuff in Naruto, none of them has interesting personality; and if they did, they end up dead. i'm also not a fan of this one on one battles. The part that i enjoy is actually the team work. and the best battle so far would still be Sakura x Chiyo VS that akatsuki kazekage

I'm still with Sgt Frog, which even after 8 volumes is keeping up the quality.
Also reading Sexy Voice And Robo. The artwork is a lot "rougher" and less polished than other mangas I've read, but it doea have a certain charm.

It was made into a Live Action Drama last year, it has been on my watching list for ages
I am currently reading Helter Skelter and River's Edge by Okazaki Kyoko. Both are quite bleak, the former about beauty in the enterainment industry and the latter about some messed up teenagers.
The sad bit is though that this managka had a car accident in 1996 (!) and has been in rehab ever since, without having been able to recover well enough to draw again.
Just finished reading the recently released English-translated Vol. 4 of MPD-Psycho, as well as the 3 volumes of Uzumaki.
can anyone recommend me a manga on assassins??? (with where to find it please). But not the ones with kiddy drawings like Tista

Yeah, I knew it was a drama too. That's one I want to watch in future. :victory:
Oh... that's sad about Okazaki Kyoko. Do you know exactly what happened to her? I can only find that she was in an accident.

Hello FarOutFreak! :D
I enjoyed Uzumaki, but it was so bleak - especially the last volume.
I think I like Junji Ito's Tomie stories more - have you read them?
They are all released in the 3 volumes of Dark Horse's Museum Of Terror in English.
A while ago, I read Ito's Remina Hellstar. I had to get it in French, as it hasn't been released in English, and I can't read Japanese at all.
I found this more recent work disappointing. The artwork was the usual high quality, but the story felt like Ito was out of ideas.

Uzumaki had great development in terms of the first volume, as the imagery was just slowly being introduced. As such, you felt more of a shock seeing what was slowly happening to the people in the town. Same with the second volume.
I did feel disappointed with the last volume simply because I was expecting a better resolution for the whole of the story. I didn't expect it to end with something like "so, there...".
I also have the Museum Of Terror volumes, and the Tomie stories were pretty good. I was only partial to Uzumaki at the start, simply because the art looked better, presumably due to development of Ito's style.
All in all, Ito's stories range from ones that make you go "eh," up to ones that seriously make you feel like your lunch is going to come back up. After those two series, I'm not sure if there's anything else that's comparable in horror manga. Can't read French, so I'm basically settling for whatever gets released in English on a given year, which is VERY little.
Am reading Urasawa's Monster, though, and I'd have to say... that man knows how to pace his stories.
