Manga Discussion Thread

Ranma 1/2 is still pretty popular. At least with the people I know. They're re-releasing the manga again. You can't go wrong with Ranma's craziness.

Shampoo's my favorite character because out of all the Chinese characters (the others being Cologne and Mousse), she's the only one who speaks in broken Japanese.

As for others, I think you'd like GTO. Great storyline coupled with unforgettable sukebeness on Onizuka's part. :beaten:

Sukebeness? I'm there! :D

:hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

if you would be so kind as to send anything you possibly can across to my s/l account :- adam_gardner

I'm really enjoying the Kare Kano serie. Really funny

i'm reading yotsuba! simple & funny... the same style with azumanga, but not 4 panel comic strip.

i watched azumanga anime several time, never bored. looking forward to watch yotsuba! too, if there's the anime.

I'm currently reading a whole bunch of series, if I listed them all I'd kill this thread! :hehe:

A few of them are Gokusen, Bleach, Eyeshield 21 & Wild Life.

I read this one. Only one volume of this out so far. Its pretty much a manga with a lot of fan service.......reminds me a bit of Love Hina a way.

ummm.....Gamerz Heaven was pretty funny and enjoyable to me, but i've only read 2 vol of it so far...don't know why it taking that one a long time to have more out.

You can try giving these a read through to see if they are funny mangas to you

IM watching HYD the 1996 manga version  and well umm....... GALS :victory:

I skimmed through this topic, and nobody has mentioned Maison Ikkoku yet! It's the mother of all romance mangas (next to KOR, that's also a classic) and it's one of the best mangas I have ever read. Everyone should read Maison Ikkoku for a complete life, haha.

Since this is a jdrama site, I'll recommend another romance manga. I"s is really, really good.

just read well.... MARS one of my fave Shoujo manga sooo shock about volume 12  and well Parfait TIc also shock from the Volumes

I'm reading pretty face... I like it
detective conan ( I love mystery-solving manga, anime or whatsoever)
and more to come ;)

detective conan manga sells for 9.95 a book--the japanese version, however, sells for 5.50 a book. i figured, i'll buy the volumes once i master japanese. as i am in the middle of learning another language, that will be very far in the future...
