haha! well maybe i havent seen the *right* fobby clothes. because my korean friend was telling me what the definition of "fobby" clothes are last summer, and it was pretty horrendous. like she pointed out this girl who was wearing some really strange shirt that was really long and had strange proportions and really ugly striped colors... BUT, seeing what some people wear in asia- if THAT'S what fobby clothes are, then i take back what i said-- a lot of it IS pretty!!!

i cant stand the engrish tho. some of it is funny, but some of it... :sweat: haha.. it just doesnt make any sense!

Haha! But they give us a topic to talk about. It's hilarious really. My dad bought me a shirt once and it had bad grammar on it, so I told my dad to never buy me clothes with English message on them. I wouldn't mind a shirt with a Japanese message on it though. :mrgreen:

ohhhhhhhhhh!!! i grew up in a reeeeally white community so i didnt even know WHAT a fob was when i first heard it-- i looked it up on like an online dictionary!!!! :rofl: :rofl: and then when i found out WHAT it was, i never called people that because it IS insulting!!!

but i found that with like... a very select few group of friends, we joke around with that word sometimes-- but never in a serious way. maybe we should change the word to somethng else-- something that actually implies what we're trying to get across. cuz we def dont use it in a demeaning way-- not what "fob" actually does imply. :sweat:

maybe im just more "asian" now. :P less of a twinkie than a twinkie really is! or a twinkie with the less filling ^_^

some fobby clothes are just TOO hideous for words... but some of them are just soooooo pretty!! especially on the manequins! *heart*
and the engrish is just... so CRINGE WORTHY!! *shudder* i hate reading it... tho somtimes it makes me laugh cause it's so funny!

Yeah yeah, I don't like that part too, at least some kissing scene would make it nicer!!

But Johnny's boys don't really have lots kissing scene ok maybe other then Takuya...

LMAO!! That's hilarious! They word comments out when they talk about girls? But then I think it happens to everyone regardless of cultures as long as they think no one around understands what they're saying. In fact, some people still comment even though they know very well that people can understand.

when my mom comes back from HK, she buys lots of fobby clothes with HORRIBLE engrish on it... but i still wear them cause they're pretty. hehehe. not as much anymore. not a huge fan of wording on my shirts for some reason.

humm... some hot and heavy kissing scenes are NEEDED in some japanese shows!! especially when pi was kissing that girl in stand up!! that was such a horrible "kiss"
