JDorama.com Site Speed

I've noticed the site hiccup at times, with longer than normal response times. Anyone else?

Edit: It seems to be better now. I don't know what it was earlier...

Me me me...!

Sometimes I'll submit a post and it takes so long that IE times out and I get that retry/refresh screen...

That's exactly what I was seeing. I know this is a main cause of double posts around here. You know, when I made that edit, I wasn't logged in. It seems like the site slows down once I log in.

There have been several instances throughout the day where a submitted post timed out... :sweat:

Site is sluggish right now... For some reason, all the icons keep reloading rather than using those that are already in the cache... :headscratch:

If its reloading, maybe its the cache problem?

Or maybe previous attempts to load the images timed out, and the cached pictures were deemed invalid..?

I thought there might be a problem with the cache so I flushed it out, but it still reloads... Odd.

Have you made any changes to your system settings? Or is it a new system? It occurs sometimes for new systems where their maximum connection is at its default value.

There seems to be a continuing problem with submitting posts: the site seems to semi-lock up... I've made a number of double posts that required modding.... :grumble:

I think it's the site... I'm still having problems when I submit a post: it just crawls... :bleh:

The site was crazy slow for me last night. First post of the day. Let's see what happens after this...
